Hi our names are Latrice and Tanya Byrd and we are both sophomores at Santa Fe University of Art and Design where we are furthering our education as filmmakers. We chose film because we wanted to uplift our African American community. We want to show positives images of African Americans on the screen as well as provide another example of what black youth can do with their life.
We are writing to you because we have just been accepted to be a part of a wonderful opportunity for an overseas experience that is bound to change our lives. Creative Minds In Cannes is a filmmaker program that provides an opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their work and a platform for students to work internships that allow them to connect with companies that can launch their careers at the Cannes Film Festival. The program consists of workshops, film screenings, parties and exclusive networking opportunities with highly respectable film industry professionals.
To be able to attend this program, we need $6,000.00 by January 1st which I hope you can help out with by donating. We also ask if you can share this link with other people, so that they can help as well.
