Cory Shultz came home one day to find that his house has been robbed. Everything that the thief’s could get their hands on they took. Electronics, computers, recording devices, and even his clothes.
The police told him that if he has serial numbers to his stuff, (which he had) there was a chance he could get his stuff back. He found every serial number for his possessions, and when he tried to take it in to the police station, they informed him the case had already been closed and will not receive further investigation. After less than 24 hours of the case being opened.
Cory had disaster insurance on his home, but could not afford to have his electronics insured due to the high cost of the policy. Cory had an alarm installed when he moved in, but the robbers somehow got past it and ripped the keypad off the wall.
Cory works as a self employed gaming journalist. It has been his dream since he was 13 to become a journalist, and he has been going to school to make that dream come true. He created a website about 5 years ago, and while has seen some success, the life of a gaming journalist doesn’t pay that well.
Cory lost everything he needs to keep working. His computer, TV, gaming systems, over 200 games, video capture hardware and software. All of these items are not cheap.
If you can donate any money at all to help Cory gets back on his feet that would be amazing. He is currently trying to replace some of his possessions like his clothes, but he will need help with the rest of the costs. Cory has been working extremely hard for almost 5 years to become a gaming journalist. If you would like to check out some of his work you can visit his website at http://www.4logpc.com
