We at NeXt have been drivers, passengers, back seat drivers. We've done it all. We often see people driving while texting, eating a sandwich, putting on makeup and driving - sometimes all at the same time!
We love the thrill of driving on a curvy road on a sunny day, but we also hate reaching for our phones with guilt while driving or risk getting lost in a new city. At NeXt, we believe that technology needs to adapt with our evolving needs.
So we built HeadsUP! to help people stay safely connected while driving, without ever having to look down at their phones. HeadsUP! evolves the ability of your car, and adds your important social interactions and the best mapping software, all on the corner of your windshield!
At NeXt we appreciate diversity - in thought and approach. That's why the Team is a perfect storm of different schools of thought and belief. The one common thread binding us together is our obsessive love of technology.
The founder, Arnab, has always been a DIYer taking machines apart at odd hours, just for fun. Referred to as 'geeksquad - a one man army of geeks' within the team, he was schooled in Mechanical Engineering, and worked at the Pentagon as a Presidential Appointee. He recently departed to start working on HeadsUP! He hasn't looked back since.
Eddie, a finance guy schooled in law as well, has worked at some of the top financial and law firms. He keeps us grounded with "real-world numbers" and keeps us working hard at the same time to ensure we are within our financial projections. Being a lawyer, he is constantly researching laws to make sure that our product adheres to regulatory requirements.
Smita, a self proclaimed geek with a flair for marketing and entrepreneurship, is a lover of all things science/tech. After spending years studying cancer biology in the lab, and co-founding a successful start-up of her own, she jumped on board the HeadsUP! by NeXt team as one of the first members. She loves her role at the NeXt team, as it nurtures her love for technology and feeds her social and outgoing personality!

We have a patent pending on the design and have existing relationships with suppliers for the components. We've invested all of our own funds so far to develop the 2nd prototype.
We need $50,000 to complete engineering & software development to have HeadsUP! ready for mass production. We have taken this as far as we can on our own, and now we need YOUR help to make this product a reality. Let's make a difference together!
