About Grey Sir Cat:
On July 25th, 2012, upon driving home from running errands, my mom (Cheri) and I spotted a little cat oddly hopping in a grassy field between an abandoned church and small strip of outlet shops.
Immediately, we pulled over to see if we could help. Upon walking up to it slowly and carefully, the cat turned out to be the tiniest grey kitten with white paws, sweet light blue eyes, and a tiny, tiny meow. Since the field was next to a highway, there was not a house nearby the cat could have come from easily. We carefully picked her (at the time we assumed he was a she), we took her into our car in a little box, and sat with her. I adopted Grey Lady Cat as her name.
We drove to an animal hospital, where she was taken in for care. Upon examining her from the veterinarians aiding in her care, it was assumed she only had a broken leg.
Right now, not only was it discovered that she is actually a he, but that the further examination and diagnosis is that Grey Sir Cat's leg is completely shattered and broken in half. It is basically hanging on by the skin and muscles around it. The leg is growing crooked and bending inward, and he will need amputation. He cannot walk, has diarrhea because of the pain and cannot walk to the litter box, and uses the stuffed monkey in his kennel to aid the pain.
What we are asking and need: Enough funds to take care of his amputation, adoption, and any assistance he may need afterwards following his surgery.
We welcome any help you can provide at this time - even just spreading Grey Sir Cat's story around online with others - words could not express our deepest appreciation. We have also started a blog in his name: http://www.greyladycat.blogspot.com if you would like to see more photos of Grey Sir Cat.
