Edit: Nov 27th
We still have 12 days to go so you can still support and pre-order the book! Based on how the contributions go in the next 2 days, I'll come up with ideas for extras in the packages or stretch goals.
Grey is... is an ongoing slice-of-life series, about two guys; Black (boy in white) and White (boy in black). It started in November 2010 and is +500 pages long so far, and counting.
About the comic:

Grey is... have a great supportive audience. I feel very blessed every day. It has been featured on deviantART, has over 1500 readers on MangaMagazine.net, hard copies of Vol1 is almost out of stock and it's being translated and published in Spain starting this year.
It means a lot to me and the readers if this goal was fully funded. Since I started and realized I'm committed to this job, I decided that I want to make a living solely as an indie manga artist and thankfully, my supportive parents stood by my side at the beginning of Grey is... and it got bigger with the support and faith the readers put in the story and me.
My father helped me print the first two books and from here on, I want to actually self-publish the rest of the books and I'm glad to see all these crowdfunding websites that pushed the webcomics community and indie artists, in general, to get bigger.
Grey is the conflict and the balance between the heart and mind in the human soul. Black and White are similar yet so so different and they represent the heart and the mind respectively. Grey is... deals with intense themes like child abuse, self-harm and suicide but it's also about the ways to overcome these obstacles; friendship, love, peace within self and courage to welcome change.
About the creator:I'm Diana Abbadi, mostly known by my pen name dee Juusan, a 27 years old Jordanian manga artist. This year I was one of the Winner Runner ups in the Silent Manga Audition hosted by the Japanese Monthly Comic Zenon Magazine.
My career as a Manga Artist (I mostly go by Manga Artist because manga is the term we use here) started with Grey is... in 2010. It was originally a one shot test to see if this medium is my thing and 3 years later, all I want to do is draw stories 24/7
I fell in love with stories even before I learned how to read, back when I was a kid and stories were read and explained by teachers in school. Since then, I knew I wanted to be a storyteller, whether it's novels, comics, poems, prose, animation, or film.
And when my love for art grew with my age, choices got fewer and fewer and I realized after graduation college that telling stories as comics is my thing.

The book will happen. So, you may have noticed that this campaign is using Flexible Funding, which means I am getting the money raised whether it'd reached the goal or not.
What will happen to the money?
The people that contributed in the campaign will get the book as agreed. And whatever money I raise, I'll use to print the book with the same quality as the last two.
My plan would be, in case the goal wasn't reached, is to print less copies (200 instead of 500) and use any money I get from the online store, the local stores (selling vol1+2), commissions or selling original art to have the book ready in January 2014 to ship as promised.
So, you don't have to worry. The book will happen. I just wish I wouldn't need to go to extreme measures for it and hope the campaign would be fully funded.
If you're new to Grey is... Why Fund?Volume 3 deals mostly about change and self-harm, whether it was physically, emotionally, consciously or subconsciously. As most storytellers, I have a message I want to share, a vision I want to see come true, issues I want to shine the light on, in hopes someone will be influenced to change or make a change.
Even if it was one or two people...
I was blessed to receive these messages the past year and now I'm aiming for higher. I want more people to acknowledge this matter and put an end to it.
You can always help by spreading the work around the web via the social networks. That would be greatly appreciated!
