Greener Pastures, Offshore
My name is Patrick Switzer, Producer of Greener Pastures. I am the 2011 IGSA World Cup Series Champion, 2010-2012 Canadian Champion, a spokesperson for the sport of longboarding and a passionate member of our beloved international community.
Greener Pastures is a high quality online web-series, which represents top international riders and core industry brand sponsors together, with no bias. This allows for uninhibited cooperation between riders. It’s this sense of community and cooperation that’s at the heart of contemporary longboarding.
Greener Pastures, Switzerland has become an international favourite since fall 2011. We have reached +900,000 views combined on the Greener Pastures and all sponsor channels through YouTube & Vimeo. The project has received widespread recognition from various media sources in print, online and radio. Our thanks to those who promoted Greener Pastures. These companies and lovely individuals are listed above.
Greener Pastures, Offshore brings together a new talented crew in another unique uncaptured location ideal for skateboarding. The goals of the project remain, to highlight new perspectives of this developing sport, open opportunities for riders, allow the industry to collaborate on one major film project, skate the best roads in the world with the most talented riders, and showcase individual rider styles and personalities.

Our production crew:
Our experienced crew of creative and passionate professionals are also skateboarders. They will be utilizing the Sony NEX-FS700 shooting at 240 frames per second and varied Canon DSLR’s (7D, 5D MKii, 5D MKiii). A DSLR mounted to our Dedicam Octocopter will provide exceptional aerial photography.

Alberto Fernandez aka PerroPro (Director, Videographer, Editor, Steady cam Operator)
Yvon Labarthe (Director of Photography, Editor, Aerial Videography, Special Effects)
Adrian Rodriguez aka Agro (Still Photographer)
Tamara Prader (Art Director, Production Assistant)
Claudio Uribe (Web Designer, Marketing Executive)
Martin Diaz (Logistics, Transportation, Safety)
Marcos Costa (Transportation, Safety)
Liam Hornby (Sound Editor)
Patrick Switzer (Producer, Assistant Director)
Our riders:
The focus of GP Offshore is to work with young talented free riders that are over-skilled and under-exposed. These riders are stars at the grass roots level; roll models, and community leaders in their own geographic location. We can expect a lot from them, with vast opportunity for growth.

Axel Serrat (Barcelona, Spain)
Camilo Cespedes (Bogota, Colombia)
Ethan Cochard (Eugene, Oregon, USA)
John Doy Tongco aka Dandoy (Lapu Lapu, Philippines)
Kevin Bouaich (Courrendlin, Switzerland)
Kody Noble (Los Angeles, USA)
Levi Green (Citrus Heights, California, USA)
Maximilian Gradlmiller (Vancouver, BC, Canada)
Our goal is to build characters through authentic relationships built between the riders and videographers. Specific shooting blocks will bring the group together and separate the group to work with the individuals’ unique personality and style. As well, will highlight the skills of working together, and differences of each rider in a group dynamic.
The longboarding industry is growing exponentially and still not close to its peak. There are countless new companies emerging, and technologies being developed. GP Offshore will portray the sport not just in the "Extreme Sport" category, but in a well thought narrative, artistic and cultural way.
Our location is among the most "motorized" cities in the world with an incredible 800 cars per 1000 inhabitants ratio. 'Studies showing 50% of all trips that people take in cars are less than 5 miles.' ~ Boosted Boards
Sports change lives every day, they provide a powerful vehicle to make a positive difference in the world. GP Offshore is a great opportunity to raise awareness about alternative transportation in a fun, creative way.

Our Goal
Your generous contributions to our campaign will first cover rider accommodations and food throughout the three-week project. Afterwards will cover production costs, marketing and distribution of the series and eventually a feature length film on DVD!
The costs associated with GP are few and simplified. All aspects of the budget are researched carefully to continue a sustainable future for the project, and this opportunity for the sponsors and our riders.
We love this type of project and what it offers to the genre of skateboarding which are seen in other extreme sports such as snowboarding, skiing, surfing, mountain biking, climbing and paragliding.
These films capture talented people living their dream on the edge of their comfort zone. Athletes seek ultimate thrills through their sport for the fun, insipration and adventure, because that is what makes life worth living!
Many of these film projects show athletes riding in multiple locations in the best places for their sport in the world. For Greener Pastures, the group is hosted in one location for a three week duration. Baby steps will allow for further athlete support and travel options to grow!
By contributing to the Greener Pastures campaign you are helping push the industry standard for quality media production, quality of life for athletes, marketing abilities such as establishing world-wide screenings for the film to reach a wider audience and viewers outside of board sports.
Planning for the future 3rd Greener Pastures series, we wish to reach out to a larger field of riders in multiple international locations. With so many talented riders and unique places, constructions and features in the world, we wish to reach this opportunity out to capture what drives the skill progression and infectious community growth.

If the goal isn't met:
We have chosen 'flexible funding' for this campaign because if we don't reach our goal the project WILL go ahead, just on a smaller scale. Your contributions will go first towards covering expenses for our riders, as we believe this is an important next step for Greener Pastures moving forward.
