Our Story
We are filmmakers producing our thesis film at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy. We aren't viewing this project as a student film and neither should you. We are excited and eager to bring this project to you all.
What Green is About
At the top of his school's social ladder, some would argue 18-year-old Maxwell Fenton has it all.
What the world doesn't know is how fiercely Max separates his active school life from a home where he is unable to connect to any of his dysfunctional family members.
When news breaks that Elliott, Max's problematic older brother is moving back home, Max's lifetime of shutting away his worries catches up with him. His problems find another way of getting out - manifesting themselves physically.
His skin turns entirely green.
Now as much of a "freak" as the rest of his family, Max must come to terms with his place among them, and with the rest of the world - which pushes him into the limelight.
What We Need & What You Get
It's not easy being green - or turning a man green. As you can see from our video, we have already started testing products, but a lot of the money we raise will go towards getting our hands on the right makeup supplies.
Anyone who has ever been in high school knows that kids that age eat a lot. That's a major concern with our production - the fifty-or-so extras who we'll be using for scenes at the school. Feeding everyone (not to mention our college-age crew!) to keep them happy, getting folks to set, and housing our principal cast will take a hefty monetary toll.
We have three major shooting locations planned. Locking these down and getting the proper permits takes more dollars than you'd think. Help us help those who are helping us!
Of course, your efforts won't go unnoticed! There are a handful of fabulous prizes and rewards you can earn by donating to our film: Signed DVDs, T-shirts with the Green logo, personal "thank you" shout outs, and more are all perks you can get for helping out our film!
Green has Twitter and Facebook accounts linked together. Check in and see the progress for yourself!
