Global Elders Gathering 2012

We are seeking support to bring elders from different nations to Australia to share their wisdom teachings at the Global Elders Gathering held in Cairns, Far North Queensland, at the time of the total solar eclipse in November 2012.

Coinciding with the total solar eclipse on November 14th 2012, the Yarrabah Council of Elders and the Rare Earth Foundation are facilitating a 5 day Global Elders Gathering for Elders, Wisdom Keepers, Future Leaders and visionary NGO's to come together to share their vision for the future (www.globaleldergatherings.org)

Rare Earth Foundation is a small organisation that is dedicated to empowering elders and youth to protect and promote culture and language through media, technology and the arts. We feel our elders and wisdom keepers must be elevated back to their rightful position; honoured and respected. Their collective wisdom and knowledge, may just hold the key to planetary survival..

The visionary message created from this gathering will be woven into a Digital Message Stick (documentary film) which will travel across the globe, gathering stories from other Indigenous tribes and Nations. Our awakened indigenous leaders and wisdom keepers will then share their unified message with the world.

The Calling for Dreamseed Keeper April and son Eric Mondragon

April Mondragon and her son Eric are from the Mestizo tribe in New Mexico. April is a caretaker of the Dreamseed Traditions her grandmother passed to her when she was a girl going through Ceremony into womanhood. The Sacred DreamSeed are a tradition about the Alchemy of Creation of All Life.

Eric has been professionally educated as a filmmaker and in media, his services will help the Wisdom Teachings and the Digital Message Stick to be heard, seen, and reach more People.

We need to raise $5,750 for April and Eric’s airfares and travel so they may bring their wisdom story to share at this gathering. 

If 100 people donate $57 we will reach our target.

April Mondragons Story

"We are "la gente", The People made from the marriage between Mother Earth and Father Sky. We live with the Mother as best we can each day, in balance and harmony with All Life, despite how the colonized world encroaches upon our Way of Life. I think the colonized mind still calls us poor farmers, and we know these relatives do not have the solutions to change their "movie".

The Sacred DreamSeed are a Tradition about the Alchemy of Creation of All Life.

Each and every one have been taking care of our Knowings and Wisdom Teachings for thousands of years. These Knowings and Wisdom Teachings have been protected, hidden and nurtured until this time come, for we are the children born from the marriage between Earth and Sky.

There are also many other things in my Bundle which come from various other Elders in the Eagle half of Turtle Island, whom would have me bring their messages to you for them.

My son has been professionally educated as a filmmaker and in media, and his services may help you and our endeavors for the Wisdom and Teachings to be heard, seen, and reach more People.
