WHY GLITTER BEACH?
When Vicky Hamilton (legendary rock manager, A&R person and writer) www.vickyhamilton.com:and Robbie Quine (quintessential glam rock cult hero, surfer, musician and writer)www.myspace.com/theofficalbarbarellatones got together in 2007 to write Glitter Beach they talked about their favorite plays and what they themselves would pay to see. They embarked on an undertaking of writing a musical that took Rocky Horror with a side of Hedwig and The Angry Inch added some sexy Glam Rock music ala David Bowie and took it to the beach. When they finished, they knew they had something fun, imaginative and special.
In 2010 Hamilton stalked Hollywood "It" boy director Daniel Henning www.theblank.com and begged him to take a look at the first draft. Henning agreed it could be special if it was rewritten and set in 1967. So under Henning, Hamilton and Quine rewrote the musical and had their first reading at The Blank Theatre in March 2011. It was a sold out success!

What We Need & What You Get
The money we raise here will go towards a $100,000 fund we need to do a week of musical play workshops for theatre producers in Los Angeles.
This money will go towards renting a venue, building props, paying actors, musicians, rehearsal and advertising, putting together and printing a great producer package, including cast recordings of all the songs (you can hear roughs of the showtunes on Vicky's website www.vickyhamilton.com
click musical play and it is up on a Soundcloud)
If we are unsuccessful in raising the full amount to do the workshops, we will use the money to finish the recordings, and making beautiful producer packages to solicited private investors and producers until we have enough to do the workshops and fulfill our Glitter Beach dream! We will not stop until there is a production of Glitter Beach everywhere!
