Hello Friends !
We are a young and vivacious rock band from Northampton, Massachusetts blending the sounds of sixties pop, dirty 70’s rock bands and the kind of modern experimental pop mastered by bands like Wilco and Dr Dog.
In an age of digital music and cookie cutter synth pop songs, LuxDeluxe has made it their life long goal to shape the 2000's with a positive light. We all know what happened in the 80's and we don't want to see that again!!
LuxDeluxe is determined to give the greatest performance of our lives at every show, rocking you silly while also transporting you with subtle and intricate dynamics throughout the show.
We want you to see us – It is important for you to understand what we are talking about. This is a revolution.
So we are going on tour.
SXSW is an annual gathering of the greatest and most serious artists around the country as well as the movers and shakers in the music biz. It's a chance for small indie bands like us who are serious about music to showcase our talents in front of tons of cool and influential people. SXSW would be the opportunity of a lifetime for us because this is where it all starts.
So the plan is to take 2 weeks and tour our way down to Austin Texas for the SXSW festival, play as many shows while there and then tour back home. This is gonna cost a little money though and we need your help !
You will be helping us open the door to endless more opportunities that we could not reach on our own. We are musicians and we exercise so opening doors is hard for us (metaphorical doors are huge and made of iron) so please give us the help we need!
What We Need & What You Get
Our goal of $ 4000 dollars is set with specific needs in mind. The essence of LuxDeluxe rests heavily on our live performance, so it is of the utmost importance that we are able to showcase the band the way it is meant to be. This means we need to transport guitars, amps, drums and keyboards (they are monsters and there are many!) along with 5 band members. So we are going to need transportation and a whole lotta gas. We are completely willing to find shelter under any log or fox den that we find but we still are going to need lodging at least twice to clean ourselves but no more than thrice for we are a rock band after all. We will also have to eat.
- We understand that we're asking a lot of you, but your generosity will not be overlooked. We have designed a number of unique and compelling Perks as small tokens of our overwhelming appreciation.
All of the funds raised will be used for transportation, food and lodging and marketing this super important tour. If we do not meet our goal, we will still be going but we will just eat and shower less and maybe walk part of the way if necessary.
The Impact
The reason we are all musicians is because music has inspired us to become better people than we were. Music gave us a direction and purpose in life. We want to be able to have the same effect on people that bands before us have had on us. The more of a platform we have to do this, the more people we can reach.
We need to play music. Please help us do just that !!! : )
