****** Perk Update*****
We have decided to upgrade a couple of the perks.
For $10. You now will get the Digital Download.
For the $25 perk. We are now going to send out a cool DVD so you can watch it on your big screen TV. We wanted to give a little more to this level.
Indiegogo wouldn't let us just change the perk level so we had to make a new ones and remove the old ones. Anyone that donated at this level before is in our system and will receive the new perk as soon as its ready!
GASMASK is a post apocalyptic thriller that tells the story of survival, deception and false assumptions.
The world has moved on...
What happened? How did it happen? Who was at fault for it? They're all valid questions and would have been deserving of an answer in the world before this hell, when ignorance was an abomination. But in this hell there are no answers, and to question is to die. Those who survived the holocaust learned the hard way what most never learned at all; shut up, keep moving and trust no one.
Our goal for GASMASK is to create for our audience an immersive experience. We drop you into a world that looks like a gaunt, near dead version of the one we live in now. How the world came to be this way is not our subject. Our aim is to explore the darker nature of man and the conditions, which make that darkness a necessity.
GASMASK is a high concept short that provides a glimpse into Pablo Bonelli’s vision of a dark abysmal world populated by a few despondent remnants of our lost society. A daunting task for any production but our painstaking preparations are finally complete. We are ready to create the visceral experience and begin principal photography on GASMASK but to bring it to the screen we need your help.
Being a part of GASMASK is simple: Contribute! With your contribution will come one or more items from our treasure trove of rewards that you can see on the right hand side of the screen. These range from simple items such as getting your name in the credits to becoming an actual producer. All items which we have poured our hard work and creativity into designing for this passion project.
We are proud to announce artist Daniel Freeman has agreed to make exclusive character portraits for this project. We will be giving away these pieces as "perks". These beautiful drawings are on 11" x 9" high quality paper ready for framing. Check out his website at www.danielfreemnaart.com to see some of his awesome work.
Here just two of the ones he is making for us!
James Character Design #1 by Daniel Freeman
James Character Design #2 by Daniel Freeman
For over two decades, Daniel has engulfed himself in painting, book design, drawing, photography, digital design as well as song through sound and poetry. Daniel is known for his clever narratives, which flow with his art in elegant fluidity.
Where's The Money Going?
The money collected from this campaign will help us acheive the type of production value that will set us apart from the rest of the pack and make this film as it is intended to be viewed. We intend to make this film at a fraction of the cost but with the same quality that you as a viewer are accustomed to. Everything that we can do ourselves for free is being done, but there are cost beyond our control.
- Travel and Lodging for a crew of 30
- Food (A hungry crew is an unhappy crew)
- Precision Technical Postions (Specific Crew Memebers)
- Hard Drives (RED Epic uses records huge files so we need huge storage space)
- Festival Fees
What if you don't reach your fundraising goal?
We are making this movie no matter what! We have invested too much blod, sweat and tears into this project for us to quit!
In the event that we do not raise the $11,832.00, well then we will have break down the production into parts and see where we can cut certain costs. We might have to do another fundraiser down the road for a festival run or something along those lines. But rest assured that we will make this film.
OUR AIM, OUR AUDIENCE
Gasmask is a meaningful narrative that crafts an allegory from the ashes of a dystopia. It is as well a showcase for the many talents of our cast and crew. Our aim is of course to entertain. Ten years ago we could not have dreamed of accomplishing the goal of making this vision into a reality. The budgetary needs of a production such as this would have been an insurmountable obstacle but the game has changed. The era of digital filmmaking and the tools that it has provided have democratized the art of filmmaking. Basically if you can visualize it, you can create it and since we can create it, you can be a part of the intrepid team of artists who are helping do precisely that.
The "passion" in this passion project radiates from all of the people involved. We are fortunate to have the dedication of talented and committed artists and technicians:
