Amplofi is an online community that empowers music industry professionals with the ability to directly connect with one another, and the fans who support them—all in one place, and on their own terms. At the heart of the Amplofi experience is a community-based environment meant to establish transparency within the industry. Artists have insider knowledge about their careers, fans gain backstage access to exclusive content, and the professionals who help bring it all together will see their businesses thrive.
The music industry is based around who you know.
Currently there's no effective way to seek out and connect with the services needed to support your career. Whether you're looking for a drummer, a manager, or someone to shoot your next video, the ability to find the services you need, when you need them, is vital to your success. By developing a sustainable platform built around community, which fosters connectivity, offers transparency, and encourages solidarity, we allow the music industry ecosystem to thrive.
Doing It Together > Doing It Yourself.
The growing movement towards autonomy amongst many musicians has led to the misconception that in order to be independent you need to Do It Yourself. We're pushing the DIY movement forward by creating a "Do It Together" environment that breaks down the barriers in the industry. By virtue, this creates a community of people helping people for the betterment of the music industry.
The music industry is fragmented.
It seems like every other day there's a new music site being built. Having been immersed in both the music and technology scenes for most of our lives, we know that many musicians, industry professionals, and fans are not able to optimize these services, due to their fragmented nature. It's easy to become overwhelmed with your options and frustrated by the learning curve. Going to one site for music, another for status updates, and using third-party providers for sales—all without a cohesion that is desperately needed.
Our community was founded on the belief that each member has the ability to directly contribute to the success of one another, and the music industry. We believe, in order to remain truly independent, the effort to build this platform needs to be a bottom-up movement supported by the community. It's always been our goal to give as much back to the community as possible, and fear that accepting outside investment capital will hinder our ability to uphold our altruistic desires, and our overall vision of creating a truly sustainable solution.
We're evolving the music industry by creating an ecosystem comprised of:
We allow artists to effectively manage their careers, from the moment the first lyric is written until the encore ends—and every note in between. We provide the tools you need to directly connect with one another, openly exchange information and ideas, buy and trade services, rate and review experiences, and collaborate with peers—all within a single platform.
Find the talent you want to work with. Whether you're a producer, promoter, booking agent or any of the myriad professionals servicing the music industry, we keep you connected to the artists that rely on you, while building valuable relationships with the professionals around you. We also give you direct access to your customers by developing a proprietary "value-added" advertising system that lets you tune in to your exact audience, without the white noise.
Our platform allows venues to easily discover and connect with artists and customers, while providing you with real-time, measurable data to forecast upcoming events. Effortlessly book and promote your shows to a devoted community of music enthusiasts, as well as direct your own sales, marketing, merchandise, and management efforts—all in one place. Gone are the days when you're left guessing about your bottom-line.
There wouldn’t be a music industry without the passion of the fans. Amplofi gives you the opportunity to connect with all of your favorite artists, keep up to date with events and album releases, or join a street team and not only go to the show, but be a part of it. We're handing you an all-access pass to the artists you love.
Connections that matter.
The DIY movement has liberated musicians in a lot of ways, but we're taking it a step further. We not only give artists direct access to a community of professional services—ranging from managers and publicists to graphic designers and sound engineers—but we provide you with the transparency needed to make an informed decision. When it comes to your career, we think you deserve more than an educated guess.
From status updates to sales tracking, artists, businesses, and fans toggle from site to site trying to keep up with the ever-changing digital landscape. We simplify that by providing one central hub to manage everything—from merchandising and promotions to planning the next tour. Whether you're searching for a venue, a road crew, or new equipment, all can be found within our trusted network.
Unique fan experiences.
From joining street teams to hosting house shows, we give fans a whole new way to support their favorite artists. In return, fans will get a backstage pass to exclusive content, unlimited music, pre-sale tickets, limited edition merch, and VIP treatment. The next time your favorite band needs help spreading the word about an upcoming event or extra funds to release an EP, we make it easy to share the love.
Earn more, work less.
In addition to the revenue artists will be earning through digital downloads, merchandise, and ticket sales, we're including several proven ways for musicians to generate additional income, while bringing the fans closer to the artists they love. We think you should spend your time focusing on music, not the bottom line.
No membership fees.
Yes, really. In fact, through our revenue sharing system, co-op program, and many other initiatives that we're building, we aim to give as much back to the Amplofi community as we possibly can. As a Benefit Corporation, our business philosophies are based around the success of the industry as much as our own.
People helping people.
Our co-op program redistributes a portion of revenue back into the community, where everyone involved will have access to the services they need—from industry and legal advisors to health insurance and promotional support. Just because you're independent doesn't mean you're on your own.
Information, at your service.
Our recommendation engine offers musicians a "hands-off" approach to managing their careers by serving them the information they need, when they need it. Less time in front of the computer means more time making music.

As a bootstrapped company practicing Lean Startup methodologies, we know how to make every dollar count; yet after a year of market analysis, business development, and product development, it's time to move into the next phase. We are currently in development, so these funds would help tremendously in sustaining those efforts as well as expanding our team and furthering our marketing strategies, so that we can begin to introduce the world to Amplofi.
The complexities and nuances of the Amplofi platform are robust and our team has worked diligently researching the industry, compiling data, interviewing musicians, building wireframes and prototypes and paving the way toward a new industry standard; the only thing left to do is build it. In two months, we plan to launch our MVP (Minimal Viable Product), move into our Beta phase shortly thereafter, then continue working our way through development of the full Amplofi site.
- Proudly filing as a Benefit Corporation which entails possessing the purpose to create a material positive impact on society, and consider how our decisions affect our employees, community, and the environment.
- Hiring a larger staff, including a full-time developer, business support, contractors, and interns. By doing so, we are not only building our company, but are creating more jobs and putting money back into the economy.
- Utilizing the many startup services that are available, including joining a co-working space and incubator programs for emerging startups to build their companies; as well as applying to present Amplofi at the SXSW conference next spring.
All of this will be possible with your donation, so thank you.
There really is so much to say, but hopefully we have you as amped about Amplofi as we are. Please watch our video and check out the screenshots of the site, and all of the great perks, in the images section of the campaign. And, please send any questions you might have about the project. Operators are standing by!
In the end, it really is, and always will be, a Do It Together movement and we can't do it without you. Asking for funds is not necessarily an easy thing for us, but we promise that everyone along the way will always have a say in this site—a voice in making a change. We are really passionate about making this project a reality and seeing a positive shift in this industry. Then, a TV show to connect it all together. And after that? Just being happy we all helped make a difference.
