Our Indiegogo campaign is over, but you can still contribute!!

What...
This March, over four nights, during the much-anticipated inaugural season of their new center, the San Francisco Jazz Festival will feature a special series showcasing tabla master/ percussionist/ composer Zakir Hussain. Each of the shows will be a special evening celebrating the ground-breaking, genre-bending collaborations of a musician the NY Times has called "a living genius".
(For more information on Zakir Hussain, scroll down to the bottom or visit www.zakirhussain.com)
Our goal is to film the SF Jazz series with Zakir Hussain and produce a top quality DVD of the shows! We need your help!
Why...
The SF Jazz shows bring a dazzling group of musicians together for the first time, over 4 nights, in Zakir’s hometown AND during his birthday week. Each of these nights would be a headliner on its own but together it’s a rare mini-festival of seriously awesome music with artists such as Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer, Joshua Redman, Eric Harland, Steve Smith, Giovanni Hidalgo and more.
Very few of Zakir's thousands of concerts have ever been professionally filmed and YouTube is full of pirated videos with poor sound and video quality. We will have an expert video crew on board to professionally capture the moments.

You...
This project is a tribute to YOU - the people who love music, love Zakir Hussain and love supporting artists who are pushing boundaries and are the best at what they do! Please contribute what ever you can to help us share these historical concerts with YOU! We have many fun perks and gifts to offer in return for your support and generosity - ranging from autographed copies of the DVD, to credit on the DVD and even dinner with the man himself! Become a Benefactor today and don't miss out!
If we exceed our goal...

Could Zakir be filming a commercial in Japan? Playing for 40,000 people in Siberia? Well that was 2012 and 2013 promises to be even better! If we exceed our goal we will continue filming behind-the-scenes and concert footage to be shared with YOU, through Zakir’s new Youtube channel. We will produce more DVD’s and eventually make a documentary on the Man himself.
Urgent...
Do you have everyone in the world’s email? We don’t either, but together who knows what we can do! If you can’t be a benefactor, YOU can still be a FAN and help by spreading the word. Zakir has touched people all over the world and we need your help to reach them. If YOU can share this campaign with your community of friends, family and co-workers and encourage them to do the same then YOU are ROCKING it as a FAN! We are touched by your support and inspired to keep Tabla – ing ON! Use the following link: www.indiegogo.com/zakirhussain and Tweet it, Facebook it, +1 it and FAN it up!
