ABOUT THE FILM & CAMPAIGN
Finding The Sweet Spot is the first feature film produced by New York based, Trinidadian filmmaker, Ozzie Stewart, planned for a 2013, 18 day SUMMER shoot. It is an expedition into the original drama, from the novel by the same name, also to be published this year. A story that is punctuated with humor and spirituality in the depths of serious challenges. Like life. A story that encompasses many issues related to women that men can identify with, whether 18, 46, or 65, spiritual or religious. Finding…., will offer a movie that portrays New York to a worldwide audience, its eclectic people, interesting neighborhoods and culture. We hope that the audience leaves inspired, energized to act, introspective of their own life’s journeys and that the story helps to give closure to their trials and tribulations and encourage them to be present for others in need. It's based on a true story.
WHY YOUR HELP IS SO CRITICAL
Transforming a heart wrenching life of events, into the best possible film of the highest quality and value, with broad and cablecast standards, that will be submitted to festivals, awards entries, to be seen on a global scale, using some of the very best talent, crew and staff. First we must secure our SAG Union and Production's financial requirements. The foundation...A BIG NUT
WHAT'S IN IT FOR OUR SUPPORTERS?
To be a part of the journey and it's success and to say "HELL YES, I was a part of Finding... from the beginning: through the shoot, the wrap, the festivals and overall success. I helped with the funding from equipment, to crew, to talent, to locations, to transportation, to catering, to the editing, graphics, sound, effects, music, distribution and marketing. Just check out my name on the credits on the big screen. PLUS I got to help people get closure and recovery from their experience after all these years, which allows them to move forward AND on top of that I got some very cool tokens of appreciation for my support. WHAT A FUN RIDE!! Not only that but a percentage of my donations impact the Sandy victims directly, NOT big organizations": http://ozziestewart.com/sections/help/
The Impact of the story and film:
1. Lets people know that they are not alone in the world during their hardest times. Scream, cuss, cry but keep moving forward, sometimes with just one thing, or one small step at a time, NEVER compromising that divinity in you.
2. Lets people see that challenges like the ones in the film can happen to anyone, at any time. The film shows that no-one is an island. To surround oneself with true friends even if they're strangers.
3. Lets our supporters know, without a doubt, that they have been directly involved in bringing this hopeful slice of life to the world.
OUR PROGRESS SO FAR:
1. We have a kick-ass trailer which has received global reviews.
2. We have the final draft of the script, committed talent behind the camera and in post-production, film advisors, a marketing team and a distribution strategist.
3. 80% of the talent has been cast.
4. Novel in last stage of final edit with publisher to be launched around film's 2013 SUMMER SHOOT!!
