This year I have been given the incredible opportunity to put my filming knowledge to the test and join a talented crew venturing north to film and document an epic 1,000 mile dog sledge race from Whitehorse, Yukon to Fairbanks, Alaska.
.... But I could do with a little help!
As most of my followers are aware the majority of my filming experience has been in the sun and warmth of the African bush so filming in the extreme cold of Alaska in a breezy -25/30 degrees C is going to be ... Brrrrrrrrrr! But I am so up for the challenge and incredibly excited!

THE CAMPAIGN
WHAT
Filming and photographing a 1,000 mile dog sledge race from Whitehorse, Yukon to Fairbanks, Alaska. Producing a first feature length documentary of the race - by following the personal stories of three dog teams. Video footage is going to be edited in a number of lengths and formats and entered into as many adventure film festivals as possible.
Creating a beautiful coffee table book of the event and experience.
A personal story - I will be documenting my own experience with text, photos and short films, which you can follow via my social media sites.

The personal story films will be raw / behind the scenes experiences about what it’s like to film in such remote and cold conditions - I am sure this will prove highly entertaining given the personalities on board!
WHEN
26th January - 19th February 2013
WHERE
Yukon, Fairbanks to Whitehorse, Alaska
WHO
I am going to be joining a small talented crew - including adventure filmmaker and photographer Mark Gillett, ex-musher and photographer Scott Chesney and artistic editor Tom Barber.
FUNDING
To date I have been trying to fund this trip myself but expeditions like this don't come cheap....
Needing a budget of around £2000 to cover flights, insurance, vehicles, food and basic accommodation (we will be following the race and sleeping when and where we can)! So far I have worked to raise £1125 but desperately need a little help to raise the extra £875.
I would be eternally grateful to anyone who can support and help me take this next step in my career. Being part of this crew will allow me for the first time to get my name in production credits which will hopefully lead to bigger and brighter things in the future – with fingers crossed and a lot of hard work!!!
