All donations will be used to purchase gift cards which can then be activated by any of the families of victims to purchase dinners from the local restaurants that provide delivery service in Newtown. The monies will be distributed equally among the participating families of the 26 victims of the Newtown Ct. tragedy.    

  As a long time resident of Newtown, Ct., I see the grief on the families who have suffered the most terrible of losses, one's child. It is a trauma from which their whole family now must endure. When a tragedy struck my family 7 years ago (one of my children was severely injured and hospitalized for over a month), Newtown neighbors, strangers and friends organized an effort to provide us with dinners for several weeks. Not having to worry about shopping for and making dinner each night for our family was (surprisingly) a great stress reliever to myself, wife and children. This daily burden truly wears on a family under the stress of a real trauma. Let's help these families NOW with a gift that will help them so much more than the dollars donated.
