Over the past two years we have been able to interview over 150 fathers. We have worked with several Fatherhood agencies and created an amazing documentary called Fatherhood 101.
My Name is Marquette Williams and I am the director of the documentary "Fatherhood 101," but more importantly, I am a father. This documentary has been the most eye opening film I've ever been a part of. I will forever see my life- as a father- differently.
"Fatherhood 101" explores the meaning of fatherhood by unveiling a multitude of compelling fatherhood philosophies. With the support of riveting statistics of hope and expert testimonials from case workers, lawmakers and agencies, the film examines the dissension between the vital role of fathers in children's development and the current fatherhood landscape. We follow fathers from all sociocultural backgrounds - including celebrity fathers such as Alan Thicke, Lance Henriksen, MC Brainz, Lee Daniels, and Tyrese Gibson - as they reveal an intimate side of themselves. Share in their touching childhood stories involving their own fathers, the love and selflessness they continuously give their children, and the hardships they are challenged with as parents.
Overall, Fatherhood 101" will change and restore you with the intangible essence of a father's love captured from the hearts of men from all walks of life. Moment by moment, we will experience together the purest emotions uncovered by fatherhood.
We have completed the shooting of the film and the post production needs for the film. The funds we are seeking are for the rental of movie theaters across the country. This is a film that needs to be seen, and we can't do it with out you.

This film is too important to not finish, so If we do not reach our goal, we will do our best to finish the film with funds recieved. We want to give the world a quality product, so hopefully, the goal will be attained or close.
Today, too many of America’s children are growing up without a father in their lives. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in1960, eight million children lived in homes without fathers. In 2009 that number grew by 20 million children. In fact, almost one-third of all children in the U.S. and almost two-thirds of African American children live in homes without fathers.
Fathers who are active in their childs life have a tremendous effect on their childs development-both cognitively and socially. Children raised with responsible fathers tend to get along better with their peers, be academically successful, stay in school longer, use drugs and alcohol less frequently and less chance of pregnancies.
