Did you know Steve is gutting the second floor of the home he shares with Ewan?
Before Kendra passed away, Steve and Kendra had discussed making the second floor of their quaint home in Amesbury more livable. After Ewan was born, like most infants, he slept in the same room as his loving parents. The long-term plan was for Ewan to have his own room on the second floor. Steve is following through on that plan, just as he and Kendra had discussed. The decision to move forward with this major undertaking now was driven by Steve's home insurance company's refusal to renew his policy unless a new roof was installed.
Steve is an inspiration to us all. And so are members of the construction community who have stepped up to help Steve.
While Steve wanted nothing more than to spend the holidays in Ireland with his family, the sensible decision was to stay in Amesbury and put the funds toward the renovation. In early December demolition began, followed by framing and water sealing the days leading up to Christmas.
Steve Tolan's crew has taken a break from plastering to lend a hand with demolition. An electrician has also offered to volunteer his services. We're looking for a plumber if you know one that might be willing to lend a hand please contact Steve Tolan at 781 367 5564.
How you can help?
Our goal is to raise $10,000 (or more) to give to Steve on the one-year anniversary of Kendra's passing. The funds will be used to purchase a fraction of the materials needed for the renovation. Steve has been very receptive and thankful for the volunteer labor. Now, let's STEP IT UP and raise what we can for the materials.
Please share this fundraising site with others.
For those with skills (i.e. painting etc) there will be opportunities to lend a hand. Babysitting volunteers on the weekends are also welcome. If you can help, please contact Steve Tolan at 781 367 5564 email@example.com
