Our Story

Empire is a web series that is about to embark on filming it's fourth season. We filmed the first two seasons out of our pockets, and the third season with help from our community of friends, family, and fans. Our fourth season promises to be our biggest season yet. Our cast includes soap stars from Guiding Light, As The World Turns, Days of Our Lives, and One Life to Live in addition to several up and coming actors who have been with us from the beginning. Recently, we won an Indie Soap Award for Best Storyline and have submitted for the Daytime Emmy's in their short form media category. In addition, Empire has been featured in Soap Opera Digest, Soap Opera Weekly, Next Magazine and Variety. Empire is on the brink of being exposed to more viewers then we ever have before. 


The Impact

As Empire grows and picks up steam and viewers, there is always the very real chance that the show will come to a halt, if the money's not there.  To make this fourth season possible, and to have it come out as big as we hope, we need some dough -- we are still looking at a small budget, but bigger than what we've been working on; big enough to get us more attention and hopefully transition our series into a self-sustainable, or better yet a profitable experience.  


What We Need & What You Get

We have been lucky enough to find someone passionate enough to want to help us partially fund our project, but we are attempting to shoot at a level that we have never done before and we need more funding. No matter how much money we raise, we are going to figure out how to make this season happen, and for that reason we have thought about how we can make it happen with varying amounts of money. To be able to do the best job that we can do, we want to meet our goal but even if we don't these funds will help to make this shoot happen. 

Where is the money going?: We are going to be using these funds for hair and makeup, transportation to our shoot, craft services during the shoot, as well as insurance for the equipment that we are going to rent. If we are able to surpass our goals we will also use the funds to rent additional equipment as well as a marketing campaign for the new season
