This Christmas make a REAL difference in the lives of two seniors.
Alan and Yvonne Orchard have lived in the modest home above for the past 19 years. Like many elderly couples, they struggle to make ends meet. 81-year old Alan has diabetes and his wife, Yvonne, works at a local supermarket, where her hours were recently cut to under 20 per week.
Several years ago, a storm knocked the chimney from the Orchard's home, tearing a two-foot hole in the roof. The Orchards did what they could to "mend" the hole, but without the funds necessary for a proper repair, they've simply lived with a blue tarp covering the gap. City officials sent notices to the Orchards, ordering them to make repairs or face eviction. This fall, the city finally sent inspectors to the home. Along with the hole, inspectors noted extensive structural damage to the dwelling. They ordered the house condemned and the Orchards evicted.

The Orchards do not want to leave their home, but have no choice. They are $31,000 in debt and do not have the financial wherewithal to make repairs, let alone finance a move to a new dwelling.
The Orchards are currently working with the Bath Housing Authority to secure a Section 8 apartment, but are in desperate need of assistance to cover all of the expenses.
Be a Light in the Darkness.
The Orchards are losing their home. But you can make a difference in where they go. We all know an Alan and Yvonne Orchard, an elderly couple who are truly in need. It's hard enough coping with a move under ideal circumstances, but without money and with the added burden of advanced years, it's downright impossible.
Each and every contribution to "Help the Orchards" will go to Alan and Yvonne in securing a new home. If you're looking to make a real, tangible difference in the lives of two people this Christmas, please look no further. Every dollar truly counts.
And if you can't contribute financially, please consider helping to spread this campaign via word of mouth or through the IndieGoGo share buttons here.
Thank you so much.
