Eating and drinking for a good CAUSE

UPDATE

Very excited and very thankful to have reached our initial goal of $15k.  However, with a total of approximately $100,000 in expenses, we are still hoping and needing to raise more.  The less debt we have to pay off, the more quickly we can start giving away profits!  Help us get the bar and dining room area ready by selling out the barstools and tables.  It would be a HUGE boost for us.  Thanks again for all your help in spreading the word.

Our Story

What happens when an international nonprofit worker and a cognitive psychologist decide to open a bar?  Strangely, this isn't a joke!  Nick and Raj, friends from grad school, strongly believe in making the process of getting involved in charitable giving easier and more fun.  That is where the idea of a "nonprofit" bar came from.  We are opening a bar and restaurant where 100% of the profits are donated to vetted grassroots organizations.  With so much money being spent on food and drink, why can't we take some of it and use it to create social good?

The Impact

Cause will be donating 100% of its profits to vetted charitable organizations.  We will be selecting grassroots organizations that are doing life changing work in the field, but struggle to get the publicity and funds that they need to assist more people.  We will not only give them money, but also help spread the word to all of our customers about these fantastic organizations.  We will feature a new set of organizations each quarter, thus allowing the impact to grow.

What We Need & What You Get

We have just secured a great location for Cause, at 1926 9th St NW in Washington DC.  It is 2,500 sq/ft and is going to be amazing!  However, this has been a very costly process for us, and we now need your help to furnish the bar and restaurant so that we can get our doors open and start creating social impact.  In total, we need approximately $100,000 to purchase all of the furniture, outfit the kitchen, and get all of the needed licenses.  

MAKE A GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING!  Our hope is that you might like to own a small piece of Cause and be a part of this movement from the beginning.  100% of the funds raised here will go directly toward purchasing the equipment for the bar and restaurant.  By helping us keep our start up costs low, you will enable us to start distributing our profits to the charitable organizations faster.
