East of Kensington

When Peter Pan returns to London he is kidnapped by a Stranger far worse than Captain Hook.

Years after Peter Pan and the Lost Boys have overthrown the pirates, Peter visits London to return Wendy to Neverland when he is kidnapped by a mysterious Stranger who dwells in the dark decaying remains of the Darling house.

The story of Peter Pan is a tale that transcends generations - passed on through the hands of powerful storytellers compelled to share the story of the boy who never grows up. Written and directed by rising filmmaker Kellen Moore, East of Kensington is a new twist on J.M. Barrie’s classic story that takes a dark, introspective look at the characters we have all come to know and love.

At its core, East of Kensington investigates the harsh consequence of Peter’s mistakes and uncovers the sinister secrets that survive within the decayed remnants of the Darling house.

East of Kensington
is a film that has been over two years in the making.  As our Senior Thesis, it is the culmination of our learning experience at Chapman University through the Dodge College of Film & Media Arts in Orange County, California.

While we are a student production, we are striving for the highest level of excellence and professionalism.
We have recruited some of Chapman’s most talented students to create the world of Neverland and the Darling House.

In addition, we have reached out to some of the most talented names in the business to help make this film come to life. Helping to facilitate the production process, Gary Goetzman, producer and co-founder of Playtone Productions with Tom Hanks, is acting as our key industry mentor.  Post-production house, Light Iron (The Muppets Movie, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Social Network), which designs and implements innovative post-production solutions for many feature films and professional color-correction services to our film, has generously agreed to color correct our film.

East of Kensington
is truly a story told from the heart.  Ambitious in nature, our film combines the spirit and strength of our passionate team with a wonderful completely new tale about the boy who never grew up.

“Dreams do come true, if only we wish hard enough. You can have anything
in life if you will sacrifice everything else for it.”

                                                                                                                 ― J.M. Barrie

In order for East of Kensington to be properly realized, the film requires: four custom built sets, the creation of a CGI character and London view, custom designed costumes, as well as all equipment rentals. We have spent the past several months in rigorous pre-production and we are months away from production- your support will lend our production the needed hand to see us through to the end. Your funding will allow our team to obtain the resources and tools we need to get from Neverland to London, and make our film a reality.

In return for your generosity, we have created an assembly of
East of Kensington official merchandise and memorabilia to thank you for your support.

A few of the incentives offered for your generous support

While any donation is appreciated and admired, we have designed a list of incentives to help you discover where you best fit as a donor. This list ranges from a Codfish Captain of the high seas, to the child who Will Never Grow Up.

Whoever you may be, we willingly welcome you to our crew and cannot wait to bring you aboard our adventure.

As a donor and member of the East of Kensington team, you will not only receive priority screening privileges when the film is completed this upcoming summer, but you will also added to the East of Kensington Indiegogo update newsletter. Whenever we share an update on Indiegogo, you will be sent a message alerting you of our progress, keeping you in the loop every step of the way.
