2014 is the year for Dummy Hoy to be recognized and inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. For years fans of Dummy Hoy have been trying to get him inducted into the National Baseball Hall of fame with little or no response. This is the year we can make that happen with your help. David Risotto, (from Da-Cor Pictures, a California-based film production company), with the help of Steve Sandy, (a die-hard fan and researcher who lives in Columbus, Ohio), have developed a script based on Dummy Hoy’s life in baseball. Together, their efforts have attracted a lot of attention from the entertainment industry, the newspapers and many others, in both the Deaf and Hearing Communities. Once the film is completed, Da-Cor Pictures plans to take vigorous measures to promote the movie. The Cincinnati Reds have gotten behind the efforts of Da-Cor Pictures to get Dummy Hoy into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY and are helping promote the documentary and the feature film, “The Silent Natural” Dummy Hoy. Wow! Think of the press Hoy will get. What a wonderful way to get him in front of the right people. Based on analysis of the current and projected state of the motion picture industry, Da-Cor Pictures has prepared this campaign, for the feature film, “The Silent Natural” Dummy Hoy,scheduled for production and release in 2014 – 2015. This campaign is designed to attract individuals and groups that support the Independent Film making ,Baseball and Deaf Community. Through campaign funding of the film, Dummy Hoy will get the support he needs if his name is ever going to have a chance to be among the baseball greats, where he belongs. Da-Cor Pictures will use their best efforts to get Dummy Hoy in front of the decision makers. The way to do this is to get the film made.
With your help, Dummy Hoy can have his day.

In 2008, the day the Phillyies won the pennant, they had Deaf Awareness Day honoring William "Dummy" Hoy". The video above is of the event that day and highlights parts of the documentary Da-Cor Pictures produced and how many people believe it is important to get Dummy Hoy in the Limelight so he can be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. It is necessary to make this film about Hoy's life so everyone can see what he brought to the game of baseball.
Other clubs have had a Dummy Hoy day as well. We will continue to pursue every baseball club until they all recognize William "Dummy" Hoy.
