Hi everyone!

My name is Matei Plesa and I make videos. It’s my “full time job” but also my passion. I’ve started on my own and I’m really proud of my work and achievements. Since I’ve started filming I wanted to make something special, different, something I truly believe in and be proud…so here's my project!

My project: "Documentary: The Craftsman"

It's incredible what people can do with passion and hard work ...

I saw craftsmen who gave life to objects because of their passion for what they were doing. For me, craftsmen are pure artists. They not only make or realize something, they create and give life to their works. Because of their passion for their work, these people have kept alive the craft as we know it today.
I respect them for their passion, hard work, determination and the huge desire to never give up what they wanted to do in life.
 
My goal is...
To make an eight-minute documentary about a passionate craftsman and his work. I want to explore his workroom and show you in images his work, his passion, his world. In the documentary I will ask him how he started his work, what benefits does it brings, what impediments or obstacles he faced and what he thinks about the future of crafts.
In the end, I think it's very important for every craftsman to be on the Internet where they can share their passion and work with others. 
I haven’t decided yet what craftsman it will be, but I’ll keep you informed on my updates. He could be a violin, a guitar or probably a boat craftsmen.

Founds:

I pledge for 3.000 $  to finish my project. So here it is what I need money for:

  • Car rent and gass (equipment transportation)
  • Sound copywright
  • Rent video gear (lensses and gear)
  • Post proccesing (color grading, editing)
