Well – instead of catching up I’ve fallen even further behind this week! And we’re heading off on a trip so I don’t expect to put up an update here again until after 2/2. But things are chugging along all the same – the work with wikiHow is till incredibly exciting for me. So much potential! I’ve got several more TEDed videos as works in progress, but coming up with really good questions, like the ones I have in Some Study I Used to Know, has been a lot harder creatively than I expected.
Still, the intention remains to get 21 new wikiHow articles and 21 new TEDed videos up within the 21 weeks I committed to for this initial IndieGogo project. Thanks again for your support! Let me know if you’re still reading these??
Woohoo! It’s been another awesome week. Getting some great things going with WikiHow work – about to go into outreach mode with my favorite researchers and experts in relationship skills. Thanks Jack – this will be an interesting experiment!
And now my status report for this little indiegogo project:
(Dutifully trying to keep up the weekly habit)
I’ve posted two more new WikiHows:
- How to Do a WikiHow editathon
(still very work-in-progress) and
- How to Write a Call for Participation
(got tagged as a “Rising Star” article)
I’ve also got 2 TEDeds I still want to get posted for this past week. I will send another update with links ASAP.
Wow. Happy New Year!! It’s been an amazing week & I’m enthusiastic about how my work is continuing. Shira’s officially my Director of Communications and we’re putting plans together to get a Lot done.
I have a few WikiHow & TEDed drafts that aren’t ready to post tonight, so I’ll double up & commit to getting two of each done for next week.
On TED.com, I have been having a great time in conversation I started (my first) about New Year’s Resolutions: http://www.ted.com/conversations/15588/what_are.... DocMikeEvans liked the TEDed I made for his video enough to tweet a link to it out to his followers.
Re: WikiHow, yesterday I had a fabulous conversation with Jack Herrick (founder) about working together to get a lot more research-based content up in useful places on WikiHow. I am delighted to consider myself a Knowledge Philanthropist! Thanks Jack.
So that’s this weeks update. Send me your questions, ideas & encouragement whenever you get a chance? There’s only 7 of you getting these updates & your support means the world to me.
