"The great strength of the order lies in its concealment, let it never appear in any place in its own name, but always concealed by another name, and another occupaton"
I'm Elkie Yates, writer and director of this new feature film called 'Deluded'. We are planning on filming Deluded in spring 2014 and we need your help to make it! Myself and the team are independent filmmakers and we are extremely passionate about this project and very determined to make this great film happen. We do however need your help and support to make this possible, so please help spread the word, donate what you can and be a part of something great!
Anyhow, that's enough waffle! Here is more about the film...
A psychological thriller... A loss of childhood innocence, a revengeful bloody massacre and an underground satanic cult can only mean one thing.... Welcome to the town of the Deluded.
Deluded is a contemporary psychological thriller, a story of revenge and the secret things that we hide from others… and even ourselves.
Two sisters return to the sleepy village in southern England that they grew up in, the girls plan to track down the paedophile ring that abused Jess two decades earlier, and exact their revenge. With the help of a childhood friend, the twins hunt down the monsters from their past, carrying out bloody murder upon bloody murder, mayhem following in their wake.
But their horrific past isn’t the only spectre that haunts the village. Secrets and lies are in the blood and bones of this small, close-knit community, and nothing is exactly as it seems. The girls are about to learn who knows the truth, and who is simply… deluded.
This story is controversial as well as inventive. It's an eye opening introduction into the world of conspiracy told through the eyes of twin sisters Emma and Jess.
Why we need your help
By contributing towards this project, you will be helping the dream become a reality. We have spoken to some awesome and well known actors who are happy to come on board of this project. The only hitch being....the money. Of course everyone would work for free if they could, if it were something they loved doing. But the truth is we all have bills to pay and families to feed. Therefore I would like to be able to pay the cast and crew, even if it is only a gesture of good will. As well as this we also need to raise money for the following items:
Line producer fees
Camera eqpt to include memory cards, spare batteries, jibs, crane, steadicam etc etc
Sound equipment hire
Lighting equipment hire
Cast and Crew costs- paying travel, sleeping arrangements and food.
Costumes and props
Transport for when on set
Health and safety/local authorities ie. Fire brigade, first aid, police, armerour.
Post production-sound, music score, editing, colour coding, sfx
Marketing and sales distribution for when the film is made, This would inclued agents fees, artwork, press pack and EPK
We realise we need to raise a lot of money besides this to cover all of the costs, however we will be on the lookout for private investors and sponsorship. We plan on covering every angle so that we can to ensure that no corners are cut and the film is made to it's full potential.
Other Ways You Can Help
- If you are unable to help contribute money towards this project, but feel you can help in other ways, then please do get intouch. Even if you could just spread the word about our film and about our fundraising efforts, that would be a great help! :)

About the Teaser trailers...
Every two months we will be releasing a new teaser trailer. The trailers will be filmed using the crew as temporary actors. The first trailer was made using the writer and director of Deluded Elkie Yates as an actor, representing the main character Emma.
The teasers will demonstrate the films themes and nothing else as we would like to keep the actual films story a secret until the film’s final release date.
The above teaser trailer was filmed by The Occult Filmmakers and Chris Meany Photography. The original music score was provided by Justin Wetherill.
