Short Summary
My name is Karrie Hill, the owner-operator of Deadbeetz Fresh Food Truck. I love to cook and have been doing so for over 20 years professionally. I operate a successful small catering and personal chef business, and this year I decided to go for my dream and start building my very own food truck.

What We Need & What You Get
I am asking for funding to purchase a hood vent and a fire suppression system that is required by local fire code. That will cost me $6000 and the reason I have set my goal at $7000 is to cover the cost of having it installed, the fees for using this website, and the cost of the merchandise offered as perks.
Speaking of the perks, I am really excited to invite anyone who pledges $25 or more to the "Grand Opening and Gratitude Party". I will have the truck set up out at the ranch I live on and serve food for everyone in appreciation of your support. I am also very excited to offer you guys really cool stuff based on the truck's unique artwork like hats, aprons, stickers and pins. So if you don't live nearby Victown you can still be a part of the project by sporting some cool swag. I am also offering personal catering from the truck which ties my two businesses together. Imagine throwing a party and having a food truck set up in your driveway to feed your guests- HOW FUN!!!!
Just so you know, if I don't reach my goal I can purchase the hood vent without the fire suppression for about $4000. On the other side of the scale, if I exceed my goal, I can use the money towards a prep fridge for the truck or various other things like lighting and propane setup.
The Impact
I have the set of skills and the ambition to operate a successful business, and with your help, we could have an amazing new food truck out on the streets of Victoria, BC.
I can't express the amount of gratitude I have for the people in my community that have stepped up to support and help me through this process. It really is amazing, the power of people helping each other.
