Taking Back our Home
DC Access is moving to a new office building and we need to your help! We are expanding in numbers - employees and customers - and need more space to continue our local, affordable, and friendly service!
The Building
More than 10 years ago, we started our business from the comfort for our home. Slowly, but surely, we turned our dining room into our conference room, our kitchen into our storage unit and our middle bedroom into our office. It has been hectic and at times chaotic (see the pictures below). We love what we do (If you don’t know us, we provide local, affordable, and friendly Internet) and we want to continue doing it, only bigger and better. To do so, we need room to store our equipment, REAL office space for our employees and most importantly YOUR support!

Our Story
DC Access is a wireless Internet service provider serving the Capitol Hill and Adams Morgan/Dupont Circle North neighborhoods of Washington, DC. Founded and located on Capitol Hill, we pride ourselves on the responsibility of being a Hill neighbor. Our clients enjoy the convenience and accessibility of our wireless and web-based services as well as personal and committed customer service. We provide local, affordable, and friendly Internet.
In 1999, CEO Matt Wade was a computer-programming consultant frustrated with his Internet service provider. Interruptions in service, slow speed and even slower response from call-center customer service staff prompted Matt to found the company. We offer the benefits of high-speed broadband with a distinguished reputation for providing reliable, affordable service.
Today, we serve nearly a thousand residential and small business clients throughout Capitol Hill and NW DC.
Your Support
If the campaign succeeds, we will be able to pay for moving expenses and purchase real office furniture (our dining room table is not coming with us!). More importantly, this move will also allow us to expand our coverage for new customers and to provide better service to our existing customers.
We decided to appeal to the community because soon after we started our business it was clear to us that we don’t have merely customers and neighbors. We are part of a larger, caring community of local business and residents who have become supporting fans. We understand the benefits of shared prosperity and it is an integral part of the way we do business. We have regularly taken leading roles in local organizations such as CHAMPS, Capitol Hill Group Ministry, and the Capitol Hill Community Foundation and this collaboration and sense of community is a great part of why we love doing business in Washington, DC.
Other ways you can help
We need you to spread the word about this as much as possible. If you feel so moved, please foward this link to others.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. We are looking forward to an exciting 2013!
