The Impact

The documentary will examine issues from numerous points of views: historical, sociological, psychological, personal responsibility and healing. This film will promote discussions as to how society treats women of a darker hue...how some women have been shunned, persecuted and mistreated throughout history in and outside of America. Our goal is to address this issues and help eliminate their pain and help build self esteem.

What We Need & What You Get

It's hard telling a story that unearths "deep truths" about a person or culture. But Bill Duke and D.Channsin Berry have become advocates in getting to the root of the matter. Our goal is for ALL people to have an healing and become their highest self. For the last two years, we have spent their our monies in producing this important piece of history and quite frankly we have run out funds. So, we are coming to you for help...financial assistance. We must raise $250,000 to finish filming and post-production. DARK GIRLS must premier October 8th 2011 in Nashville Film Festival.
