My name is Long Nguyen, a 3D artist and Game Designer from Canada.
In 2002, I took the plunge into the world of videogame development and began a small hobby project called 'Out Of Hell', a mod for Unreal Tournament. I spent the next 7 years building the game alone in my spare time, learning about the development process as I went along and growing as an artist over time. The game was finally completed and released to the public in 2009. It won the 'Best Art Direction' award and was nominated for 'Best Single Player Mod' at Mod Database (www.moddb.com)
Now I have set my sights higher and have begun development on a new project, a spiritual successor called 'Daemonicon' which I plan to take commercial. It is a horror-themed adventure/exploration game with a branching storyline, thick atmosphere and haunting visuals.
Many ideas that were not included in Out Of Hell will be featured in Daemonicon such as non-linear exploration, player customization, skill structures, multiple endings and more. You can find additional details about Daemonicon at: http://crcdevblog.wordpress.com/
The Goal And Why Your Contribution Is Important
My goal is to raise $15,000. All of it would go towards covering development costs such as hiring additional artists, programmers, purchasing assets and other related expenses. Your generous contributions would aid me in reducing the amount of time it takes to build Daemonicon so that I can get it out to the gaming public!
Your Contributions MatterKnow that whatever your contribution is, it will go a long way towards helping an Indie Developer create a new gaming experience! The 3 Perks on the side are my way of saying 'Thank you!' for your generosity! If you request, I will also send you a screenshot of the graffiti and the location of where it can be found!
You can also help by spreading the word about project 'Daemonicon' to your friends, on forums, Facebook, Twitter and beyond! The project needs your support!
Important NoteBefore making a contribution, please understand that these Perks are my way of showing gratitude and appreciation for your support but do not imply or constitute that any contributors are in whole or in part: co-authors, partners, joint-venturers or owners in the project. Graffiti tags or NPC's with names provided by the contributor are not owned by the contributor.
If you do not wish to be named or choose to opt out of the Perks, please let me know!
