Cricket Heroes is the most comprehensive and accurate cricket game available today! Developed in conjunction with cricket fans from the PlanetCricket and PakPassion forums, and featuring 3D graphics by Buko Studios, it delivers a fun, feature-rich experience with a multitude of modding options.
Cricket Heroes is more or less feature complete, bar a few bug fixes and balance issues. We've had excellent feedback from the community regarding the gameplay and we are now heading into the final stages of development. However - there's been mainly negative feedback with regards to the graphics. While the animation is fluid, the models lack detail and the topology could be improved. The 3D models were made by Buko Studios and I think they've managed to do an excellent job given my tight budget.
In light of this, we need approximately $5000 for the following upgrades:
- improve the player 3D models
- add support for differently sized/shaped head, torso and legs
- extra animations for soft-handed and lofted shots
- new animations for cut scenes
- crowd animations
- extra stadium models
The remaining costs will be split as follows:
- $240 to indiegogo
- $760 to cover physical rewards
The physical rewards we're offering include:
- printed manual
- jewel case
- game box
By contributing to this campaign you will be ensuring that Cricket Heroes becomes the game I've always dreamed it could be. If the campaign fails, I will still release it. It just won't be as polished as I'd like it to be. As I mentioned previously, the game is complete, it's playable and it's tons of fun...but - graphics sells.
I feel quite strongly that improving the graphics is the best way to get more eyes on Cricket Heroes. The more eyes I can get on it, the more sales (hopefully) we'll see. The more sales we make, the more improvements we can make to audio and general content. I plan on supporting the game indefinitely (if time allows).
That's where you come in :)
If you can't contribute financially, you can still help out in other ways :) Download the demo version at our official site, give it a spin and let us know what you think. All constructive criticism is welcome and we'll do whatever we can to take your suggestions onboard.
You can also share this campaign and let people know what we're up to. The more people who experience the game and share their ideas, the better the game will become.
Thanks for reading and we hope to hear from you soon!
