Just a quick word to let you all know that CraftStudio Beta is out! It comes with a built-in physics engine, a redesigned user interface, a HTML5 Web player for games, initial Linux support, a friending system and much more.
I’ve been working very hard over the past 4 months to bring it to life and I’m incredibly excited that it’s finally out for all to play with.

I’m happy to announce the very first version of CraftStudio for Mac has just gone live!

PORTE PAR LE VENT
Back in August, me and a bunch of other people made a CraftStudio game called Porté par le Vent for the Ludum Dare Jam and ended up in 4th place out of 400!

INITIAL WORK ON VISUAL SCRIPTING
Over the last two weeks, I’ve started working on the visual scripting system for CraftStudio.

It’s only the beginning, as you can see. I’m aiming to have a first usable version ready in time for MineCon (November 24-25), we’ll see how that goes!

Unfortunately, I have been quite busy working on CraftStudio and we still haven’t gotten around to putting out the first playable build. Rest assured that it will happen in due time!

CRAFTSTUDIO ALPHA IS LIVE
I’m very pleased to announce CraftStudio Alpha is now available and I’ve sent the 700+ premium keys by e-mail to you all!

I hoped Thomas and I would have been able to start working on Project Waffle by now but the Alpha’s launch has kept me real busy. We’re both very eager to start and will keep you updated!
I’ve finally cleared everything for the t-shirt perks. Those of you who chose to get one will get an e-mail next week with a redeem code to select your t-shirt model and get it shipped at the speed of light… OK, it’ll probably take a long time actually. At first you won’t sleep much, wriggling to know when it’ll finally arrive, but then you’ll forget and one day, on a delightful morning of whatever month it will be, you’ll be greeted with a mysterious package in your mailbox, only to find it contains the sweet, sparkling t-shirt you’ve been waiting for.

Iâ€™m still hard at work on the first alpha release. Yesterday I got some player input going on and managed to move around a character with the keyboard.
Thereâ€™s a lot of things to figure out and I donâ€™t want to release too early to avoid (as much as possible) breaking your scripts later down the road. Thanks for your patience :)
When the alpha is ready, Iâ€™ll generate and send by e-mail the redeem codes for your Premium accounts. Youâ€™ll be able to use them with your account or send them to a friend of yours.
Other perks will be delivered / sent when they are ready. Iâ€™ll make sure to keep everyone updated as progress is made. Iâ€™ll also send instructions to get your t-shirts next week.

Holy moly! We have reached 500 funders and the campaign is about to hit $19.000 with 11 days left!
Another exciting piece of news: The first ever CraftStudio script has been run earlier today! Donâ€™t get too worked up just yet though, thereâ€™s a lot to do until the next release is ready to ship.
I attached a little screenshot below of what the script editor currently looks like. This is just the beginning of course (you got to start somewhere!) A more visual scripting interface will be added in future updates.
