Dear CommBadge Funders,
First, Team CommBadge would like to express our deepest apology for the shipping delays, but as we’ve previously said, we are committed to delivering only the finest wearable communication technology. Unfortunately, we underestimated the preproduction timing and the great possibility of these delays effecting us. However, we are steadfastly determined to get CommBadge into everyone’s hands as soon as humanly possible.
We are still debugging the firmware and have added some exciting new functionality. We have already enabled Star Trek-like beep tones and voice annunciation. Currently, we are trying to implement the Star Trek TNG-like chirp when tapping CommBadge to answer a call, very cool! Remember, this is the last hurdle of the project before we can enter production. The next step is to complete preproduction, then move to full production and fulfillment.
We appreciate your patience, we really do. We hope you understand and that you will continue to support this endeavor through positive comments and word of mouth.
Best regards,
The CommBadge Team
Hello Contributors!
At Team CommBadge we are committed to delivering only the very best product with the latest communication technology available anywhere.
Firmware
We are working on finishing the PCB firmware. This is the last piece of the puzzle before we can start full production.
Website
Remember, you can get a sneak peak at our new website before the Press Release goes out soon. We’re making the final touches at http:// GetCommBadge.com, there you’ll be able to setup your own account in the near future. You will receive an email with the link once it’s ready.
Updates
Instead of keeping you wondering when we’ll post our next update, we are sticking with our original commitment to post an update at least once every three weeks.
We’re looking forward to sharing all kinds of cool things with you during the next couple of months including updates from the factory, links to developer information, screenshots of the iOS and Android app as they take shape, and preview videos of CommBadge in action! One thing we want to say up front: we are not planning on announcing any new dates or timeframes relating to manufacturing. This is our second major production run and we don’t want to start making promises like ‘next week we’ll have the first samples!‘. We’ll update you as much as possible, but we won’t be mentioning dates yet.
Hiring
CommBadge is hiring! We’re still looking for an experienced Developer Evangelist and hopefully convince him or her to join our team. If you are programmer who has written APIs, consumed a lot of APIs and really enjoys talking with other developers about APIs…we’d like to talk to you! Please email us at jobs@getcommbadge.com with your experience in this area, links to github/twitter/blog etc.
Cheers!

Dear CommBadge Supporters,
We’ve added an image of the new MagPack Perk! A magnetic mounting kit that gives your CommBadge Classic that clean, may we say, Star Trek TNG look. Two super strong zinc-plated rare-earth magnets and matching support discs with adhesive foam (comes with two alcohol cleaning pads). Designed exclusively to fit perfectly into the etched guide on the back of CommBadge, for easy installation. Creates a clean look that holds your CommBadge flush against your clothing, even heavy weight fabrics. With amazing strength, you can even jog with it! By selecting this Perk, one MagPack will be added and shipped with your existing Perk. If your contributed to more than one CB, simply add multiple MagPack’s. To add the MagPack Perk click here www.indiegogo.com/CommBadge .

Dear CommBadge Fans,
Again, thanks for your amazing support! We cannot thank you enough. We are very hard at work finalizing the tooling in China, and the PCB design/verification in the UK. So far, we appear to be on track for the previously scheduled delivery starting Q2, 2013.
