Columbidae - Trailer

From the award winning filmmaker 17 year old Malachi Tekur Whitten embarks on a completely new experience.

'Leo, Dylan, and Klaus are best of friends, putting each other down, just to bring each other back up again. But when Leo meets the new femme fatale foreign exchange student Nara, he forms his trio into a quad. Falling into this unknown emotion called love, Leo takes a shot in the dark, a date unlike any other. Nara introduces Leo to the world of pranks. A tool used for humour, or, in this case, revenge. After creating a list of people they believe deserve their just desserts, they set out on a mission which involves breaking into homes, and leaving gifts of pure prankster comedy gold. This is Columbidae.'

Columbidae features a cast of Maine actors, and music from local musicians. This film will be shot on-location in Portland, Maine, from April 14-18, 2013.

The Impact

Malachi Whitten has already a proven track record at his very young age. Having won multiple awards for his short films, Malachi is aiming high. His most recent short film is called Wake Up in which he won Best Student Film, Best Youth Produced Film, Certificate of Short Film Finale.

After much hard work and very little sleep, this 17 year old will add to his accomplishments, further his knowledge of filmmaking, and has the tenacity, and strive to make it to Hollywood. This will help impact his future!

What We Need & What You Get

We are trying to raise a budget of $3,500. With your generous support, funding for this project will go towards making the film the best that it can be. Your support will help to feed our talented cast & crew, wardrobe, props, production, and even the famous Hollywood RED camera.
    (The RED camera will raise the production value and help make this movie Big Screen quality.)

As well as using the money to help the actual production of the film, we will be using it so that we can reward supporters like you. This includes DVDs, behind the scenes footage, special thanks credits, executive or associate producer credits, and a signed screenplay.
