Farm Camps is pairing with The Lyons Farmette and Oscar Blues Brewery for a benefit Farm Dinner with beer pairing on June 11th. In addition, numerous bands (Jack Johnson, Phish, Wilco, The Avett Brothers, and more listed below) are contributing dozens of signed pieces of merchandise to help out the farms devastated by the 2013 Colorado floods.
During the week starting on September 9, 2013, a slow-moving cold front stalled over Colorado, clashing with warm humid monsoonal air from the south. This resulted in heavy rain and catastrophic flooding along Colorado's Front Range. The situation intensified on September 11 and 12. Boulder County was worst hit, with 9.08 inches recorded September 12 and up to 17 inches of rain recorded by September 15, which is comparable to Boulder County's average annual precipitation.
This fundraiser is to rescue the numerous farms that were denied FEMA assistance and have nowhere else to turn. As stated by one of our beneficiary farms (Sunbeam Farm), "I am not sure how to start so I’ll just jump into it. Our Farm is in serious trouble, we need help. The flooding in Boulder, Colorado destroyed our Fall Harvest and ended our season very early. The event left us deflated and overwhelmed with accepting the reality that our entire year of labor is lost overnight. We are in a low area of the county and had a raging river passing through our Farm, over most of our plants, about 16,000 square feet. If you know anything about us or farming by hand, you can imagine how devastated we feel. We do not like to ask for financial help, we would rather give help. But right now we are unable to handle the loss, the clean-up or the bills of the Farm. We are asking for community support to help keep this Farm running for years to come."

What We Need & What You Get
- We are trying to raise at least $50,000 to help get these terrific, local farms back to where they were before the floods. These are all wonderful people, trying to do the right thing for our community, and had their lives turned upside-down in September.
- Over 30 bands are joining forces with us to raise money for the farms by personally donating signed merchandise just for this event!
- Farm Camps, Lyons Farmette, and Oskar Blues Brewery will be joining forces to hold a wonderful Farm Dinner with beer pairings on June 11th to raise funds for the cause. You can purchase one of these limited tickets as a perk on this site.

"We were denied assistance by FEMA. This work is a labor of love and we have already put everything we had (and more) into this Farm because we believe real food should be available to everyone. We are at a loss for options on how we can help ourselves right now. We don’t do this work because it is easy or because it is profitable. We do it to make the world a better place, to be able to provide healthy organic food for others and to be able to tell them exactly what is in it, and what is not." - Sunbeam Farm
"The water from the creek kept rising and falling all day. The crops were in at least 6" to a foot of water at one point...the crops were under water for up to 10 - 15hrs from creek water that the news is saying was contaminated." - 63rd Street Farm
