Hello, and thank you for taking this time to read about our exciting project!

My Name is Anna Sullivan, and I am the Artistic Director and Choreographer of Anna and The Annadroids, a digitally enhanced dance and aerial theater company based in San Francisco, California. We are currently raising $4,000 through Indiegogo to cover the costs of presenting our upcoming production The Clone Zone.

The Clone Zone is a video game-inspired dance and aerial show that is modeled after Carl Jung’s theory of the human psyche. Just like in a video game, the dancers progress through each level gaining and losing life along the way. The strategy of this game is to complete each level with at least one life remaining. As the characters complete each level they become more aware, ultimately achieve Collective Unconscious, and thus become more connected to a higher level of enlightened humanity. The overall message of the show is that if we as humans are willing to more deeply investigate the social pressures and personal phenomenological experiences that make us who we are, we will obtain an awareness that will help us move toward what Jung called Individuation, the individual Self who evolves from out of undifferentiated unconscious. We cannot escape our Self, but we can escape a Clone Zone way of life.

This exciting production is scheduled to premiere in San Francisco at Dance Mission Theater November 16-18, 2012. The funds raised through Indiegogo will cover theater rental ($2,800) and rehearsal space ($3,200). We recently received a grant through The Zellerbach Foundation for $2,000, which we put toward rehearsal space costs leaving us with a total of $4,000 to raise to cover our production expenses. All the funds we raise through this campaign will go toward these production costs.

Any contribution you can make toward our goal will be greatly appreciated by all the artists involved in the production. We hope to pay ourselves with the ticket revenue so having the space costs covered will help us all be compensated for our hard work.
