The Film

Civilianaire Boys' Club is a story about a robbery gone wrong,with 3 bungling criminals, think Laurel and Hardy meet Ricky Gervais in a Guy Ritchie Film.

I have been wanting to direct films my entire life. I finally wrote this short film script and I am lucky enough to have incredibly talented people think it is very funny and want to help me make it and be in it.

The People

The star of the film is the incredibly talented Lennie James who you will know from tv shows such as Walking Dead, Jericho, Hung, and films like Snatch, Sahara, The Next 3 Days.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are producing the film (the stars of HBO's True Blood), along side Cerise Hallam Larkin, my partner in crime, mother of my 2 gorgeous kids, and brilliant producer of numerous feature films. 

We are pulling in amazing favors, with a top notch team of ninja crack squad film makers, all of whom are giving their time for free, because they believe in this project as much as we do.

The Cost

That said, we still need funding, to pay for insurance, props, set build, locations, equipment, food (important one that - feeding people when they are not getting paid!), make up and hair, transport, editing, sound, music, picture finish, etc. At our budget of $20k, it still means we are getting huge favours, lots of freebies, and mega discounts across the board. Every penny helps us get one step closer to getting my first short  film as a director made.

The Why

I have been working on film sets behind the scenes for 15 years. I have so much experience behind the camera, and taking all of my knowledge and skills, and dare I say, talents, I will make a film that is funny to watch and very easy on the eye.

The Plan

We'll be sending the film to major film festivals world wide, and eventually in a not too distant future we will hopefully create a full length feature version based on this hilarious idea.
