Hey gang! Thank you so much for you support, it really has been overwhelming and humbling to me, and I can’t thank you all enough. What started off as a small fundraiser to get a few books printed has definitely turned into a full-on preorder, and I can’t wait to see my comics in print and get them out to everyone! I’m so excited, just thank you all so so much!
I also want to add that after a lot of thought and consideration, I’ve decided to add in my Memory Lane strips to conclude the series of comics in the book. Those strips highlight a huge part of my life, and I really feel that they are an incredibly important part of my comic as a whole. Not to mention that a big reason I wanted to make those strips was to reach out to people who have gone through something similar, and to let them know they are not alone. It is my hope that by including them in the book that they will reach even more people.
We’re a bit past the halfway point for this fundraiser (21 days left as of this writing), and I sincerely appreciate and thank every one of you for making this possible. <3
Hey Guys! My name is Christopher Williams, author of a journal comic of the same name called Christopher! I'm 30 years old, and I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, and have had a love of comics for who knows how long.
My journal comic is about my everyday life, and also about how my wife I handle being a new parents to a toddler (!!). When I started this comic, it was originally made just to announce to our friends and family that my wife and I had gotten pregnant. But I had always wanted to DO a journal comic, so I figured it would also be a good way to keep track of the pregnancy as we went along. Soon afterward I became addicted to making comics, and decided that I would make this comic as long as I possibly can, especially to catalog my son's growth.
Since starting my comic, it has also become a sort of therapy to me. Some of the times that I am at my happiest are when I finish a comic, and know that people are reading it. I've also used it to work out personal issues and stress, and surprisingly to me, it's worked rather well! My comic has essentially become my life on display for everyone to read.
