Can you believe someone can live happy having never left a room? My short film entitled Celofán demonstrates that in life anything is possible.
My name is Antonio Abadia and I am passionate about many things, art, painting, writing, photography, and most recently film. I started my own film company in September 2011 called Cine Ensueño based on my childhood dreams to transform my stories, creations and imaginations into reality. Since then I have dabbled in commercial shorts, music videos, as well as documentary work and now I am excited to announce my first short film production called Celofán.
With this movie I hope to remind people of something I feel has been lost: the power of a story; the importance of imagination and the fragility of the human heart. I have chosen to film my movie in my hometown of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico, because I feel this is an appropriate setting to explore themes of family, fantasy and life struggle, as well as the place where I spent the most inspiring years of my life.

The creation of my movie represents a bigger dream for my home state of Chiapas, Mexico. I hope this film along with many other artistic endeavors in the region begin to fuel the process of cultural recognition on both a national and international scale. I am also happy to announce that 10% of the proceeds raised will go to TELETON, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, a national organization which helps sick children, like Carlitos, receive adequate medical care.
