Dear Friends –
Writing isn’t created in a vacuum. Since 2010, Civil Coping Mechanisms has been publishing literature and cultivating a community. Our aim is to deliver books that buckle and tear the voids you recognized but couldn’t name. We want to continue working with you. We want to cope together, but we need your help.
2013 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for CCM. Between now and March’s AWP (Annual Conference and Bookfair) in Boston, we’re due to publish eight incredible books, including two manuscripts of poetry: Ana Carrete’s Baby Babe and Jordan Castro’s Young Americans. Both titles represent just one way that CCM has expanded since its inception. We are growing around a community that we have helped to build.
We have no intention of slowing down. With your help, we hope to raise $3000. The funds will allow us to issue eBook alternatives to every CCM release and overhaul our website; we hope to over an integrated eStore, offering our entire Catalogue alongside special signed books and limited, annotated and utterly unique editions. This campaign will also help us take on interns and fund left-field promotional ventures to support our existing catalogue.
In return, we offer a bellowed commitment to our core values: innovation, defiance, community and COPING. To the right are some unique incentives for you to donate and become part of the CCM family.
Life is hard and getting harder.
We shouldn’t have to cope alone.
Let’s cope together.
