WHO IS CANDY?
A battle rages over CANDY’s imaginary world, and the dark truth of her past. Evil comes in many pretty colours.

“Our screenplay is a Horror/Drama but we have gutted the genre by dominating it with strong female driven characters and a serious message. We wanted to explore the fact that evil is not always ugly, nor does it always come to us in the form of a "monster". It’s often pretty, or makes us feel loved, or comforts us in some way. In fact, we often invite it in either consciously or while in a state of denial. We really want people to consider the ripple effect of abuse in the privacy of our own human experiences, rather than as a society. This is a much more uncomfortable view. Our goal was to provoke thought and discussion on the subject, and to make people rethink the roles of women both on and off the screen. This seems like a very lofty goal, but its really very simple. We just looked around and inside, kept things pure and real as opposed to ideal - because life never is”, says Lucy DeLaat.

- A credit as offered does NOT IMPLY any ownership of any kind to the rights of the film now or in future - you agree to this by entering
- The film remians the sole ownership of Window Kittens Productions Inc, and ACTRA
- Timelines are only estimated and subject to change

FOR WARDROBE STYLISTS CONTESTANTS ONLY - DISCLAIMER AND LEGAL KAKA:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY- BY ENTERING YOU AGREED TO THE BELOW
To have a chance at gaining a credit in our short film as a Wardrobe Stylist for the character you are given. That is the limit of the compensation for the winning recipient. Its a great credit to have.
The winning recipient has no share of ownership in the film or any future revenues. Its just a credit.
The winning recipient by entering agrees to hold harmless Window Kitten Productions and indemnifies Window Kittens Productions against ANY legal action of any kind now or in future. If you win, we own all rights to the design you submit. If you don’t agree, don’t enter.
If you don’t win you will not be designing the costume and you keep the rights to those designs.
Window Kittens Productions cannot be held liable for designs used that look similar to anything submitted that did not win. Many designs may look the same as they come in to what we have in our sketch file. We WILL HOWEVER be recommending designers to others in the industry - even if we dont use you design for this one project. We may like your style for something new!
The Campaign must reach $2000 for the $500 budget to be available. If the campaign does not reach $2000, the winner will receive a WARDROBE CONSULTANT rather than DESIGNER/STYLIST for one of the lead actors. This is because the budget will not be in place for the design. Also, if we get the costume and it does not work for whatever reason at our discretion, or we change or mind or it is not functional – we reserve the right to not use it for whatever and go in a different direction. We do not see this happening, but we need to retain the right. You will still get a wardrobe stylist credit if you win and the costume is good. If you win and do not produce the costume, on time and on budget – you get nothing. Same goes if the costume is cheaply made looks like a pile of crap and does not use the $500 budget there is a good chance we will not use it if it looks horrible when we actually get it (you are a professional – this should not be an issue)
WE WILL HAVE A SECOND AND THIRD PRIZE and will advertise those winners. This will give you some bragging rights. If we have a prize available we will give it to you. Melyssa and Lucy will also provide professional references for our three design contest winners to any prospective employer/project - that goes without saying.
If the campaign exceeds its goal by $2000, (Meaning a $10,000 goal is reached) the winning consultant will receive an additional cash prize of $500. The more people that like and share – the more exposure your design will potentially get and the greater chance of receiving a cash award. Get the word out if you enter. It means more people will see your design in the film you participated in creatively. YOu can post the link and ask people to make a $25 donation to support the project.
Lastly, your fees are non refundable with no exceptions
AGAIN, and SAYING IT AGAIN - PLEASE PUT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE "STREET" FIELD when you pay your $45 FEE. THOSE THAT DO NOT PUT THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS WILL BE ASSUMED AS ONLY WISHING TO MAKE A DONATION. DONATIONS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.
