All-
We’re sending out the perks today to everyone who backed our campaign for the Direct Action Network. Thanks to all of you — treats are on their way!
This also makes it a perfect day to thank WAM!mer Jen Sorensen yet again for doing the brilliant illustrations that brought our campaign to life. You ever need an illustrator, I can’t recommend her enough. She was fast and flexible and delivered illustrations that were a better than what we were picturing. If you’re moved to thank her for her work on the campaign, hiring her is the best way.
Here are some more examples of her illustration prowess:

Thank you, Jen!

We did it again! Thanks to y’all, we’re now more than 250 backers strong. As thanks: Here’s a little blooper reel from the making of the video.
THIS IS IT! It’s the very last day to back the Direct Action Network for Gender Justice in Media. You helped us get to our $10,000 goal, now can you tweet, facebook and otherwise help us hit 250 backers before the campaign ends? We’re just 16 away from that goal as I write you, so every backer counts.
Just a reminder: We’ve got what we need to build the site (YES! THANK YOU!), but we still need funds for a talented, dedicated staff person to run this project. Our plan has been to approach foundations for that money, but the more we can raise before the campaign ends, the less we have to rely on scarce, competitive foundation money to pay for our dream staffer.
Plus: even if new backers can only give a dollar, every person who gives to this project before our deadline makes our case stronger when we apply for grants. Every person who gives to this grassroots campaign shows the foundations that we are many and we are already taking strong action together.
Here’s a few sample tweets or posts, to get you started:
Last day to become a WAM! Superhero! I did it, can you do it now? http://www.indiegogo.com/wamactionnetwork
Time’s almost up to stand with WAM! And with me! http://www.indiegogo.com/wamactionnetwork
I did it, now can you help WAM! hit 250 backers for a Gender Justice in Media League? Today’s the LAST DAY: http://www.indiegogo.com/wamactionnetwork
Thank you, thank you, thank you, WAM We’re going to change the media, and the world.

UPDATE: WE DID IT!!! Over 200 of you have already become superheroes and got WAM! our $10K match. We’re going to start building the Direct Action Network NOW, so stay tuned for updates. We can never thank you enough, so we’re just going to say: can’t wait to get WAM!ming with you!
But let’s not stop here! This campaign runs until midnight on the 22nd, and we still need funds for a talented, dedicated staff person to run this project. Our plan has been to approach foundations for that money, but the more we can raise before Wednesday, the less we have to rely on scarce, competitive foundation money to pay for our dream staffer.

Thank you SO MUCH. Let’s get WAM
