The idea behind the britome app.
No matter what we’re looking for – we’ll find it on the internet at the best price! Anything? What about the things you only get at a few stores worldwide and only instore because there are only a handful of pieces available ? You could, of course, try to get them via some auction platform for triple the price but wouldn’t it be much cooler if you had a friend that lives around the corner of this shop, that simply gets the things for you? That would be great, I know, but what if you don´t know people that live in the city where the store is located? The idea I had was to build something like a dating platform but with the difference that on this platform, the users don´t fall in love with each other but do each other a favor by getting something for someone that is out of that person’s reach.
The idea of creating “britome” came to my mind while I was looking for a way to get the milk mag from Hong Kong (http://www.milk.com.hk), because I´m collecting a lot of exotic stuff about streetwear. But there is no way of getting this magazine, with the value of a few bucks, on the internet or in a store in Germany. The only way to get the mag is to travel to Hong Kong or to find a friend who travels to Hong Kong but the best way to get it, is to know someone in Hong Kong!!!
Just check out the video above to get an idea of the app!
Why I need your support and money!
I want to make the britome app more than a hobby and I want to work with people who give a 100% for this project. I‘ve worked with very talented people, who did their best to support me while having their regular job but it didn’t work out. I really want to create this app with experts in the background but if I ask for a 100% of their time, I need money to pay them.
Why I don’t get venture capital or something like that?
Trust me, I’ve tried it. The problem is that many VCs in Europe don´t want to invest in companies who are setting up something completely new and I think that’s the big difference between Europe and countries like the United States. But hey, if you’re a VC and are interested to invest in this campaign, you’re more than welcometo do so!

I’m a 34 year old male, based in Hamburg, Germany. I’m currently working for an IT Company and I’m completely addicted to technology, streetwear, sneakers and all kinds of exotic stuff. Since the start of the internet as we know it, I have been dreaming about building my own startup but I didn’t have the right idea ... until now!
My technical co-founder will be Ubilabs, who are also based in Hamburg, Germany. They’ve started their business in 2007 and currently have 16 employees, who are helping me to create the best app on the planet. Their team consists of developers, architects, marketing experts and, of course, designers who have been working in this business for many years. The reason to choose Ubilabs for this project is simple the fact that they’re specialized in providing location-based services. Please visit Ubilab’s site (http://www.ubilabs.net) and check out „Projekte“ to see some of their current projects.
