We Are All Bound For Freedom
Mission: Bound For Freedom commits to the pursuit of freedom by being a retail location promoting fair trade products (that give impoverished and previously enslaved individuals the opportunity to make a living for themselves) and redemptive artwork, books and media in a cafe atmosphere.
Our desire is to sell freedom-producing merchandise that are designed, made and collected globally to give opportunity to men, women and children caught in the vicious cycles of slavery. We will sell items created by artisans all over the world, as well as from our own home town. We have found a suitable, but still unacquired location in St. Joseph, Michigan where we currently reside. This store, we hope, will be a tea and coffee serving, cafe style, art gallery, with available merchandise in the realms of art, books, media, clothing, jewelry, nutrition and so much more.
As a contributor you will be helping us not only acquire the needed market space, but also cover a sizable portion of the startup costs, as well as instantly bringing freedom to people around the world. My wife and I are blessed to live in the US, and after many times of traveling to different places around the world we have seen the poverty and brokenness so many people live in around the world. It is our calling to give these people opportunity because we have been given so much opportunity in our own lives.
A Financial Mountain & The Treasures of Climbing
The start up costs for Bound For Freedom are going to reach and possibly exceed $20,000. This cost will cover roughly 2 months rent, building rennovations, website & branding, furnishings, merchandise (books, media, freedom bringing merchandise from retailers and artisans found below, and art from local artists) and many more. The rent alone for the building we desire to be located in is over $4,000 a month, totaling well over $50,000 per year including utilities, and insurance.
Even though we are asking for $15,000 (3/4 of our start-up costs) we are counting on more money coming in from monthly and yearly sponsors local and abroad, and a hopeful overflow from this campaign. Our desire as a business is to become a not for profit organization that is kept open by our loving sponsors and kind donations ($50,000 per year), but is self sustaining in every other aspect.
Perks for helping, so many good ones, look somewhere over that way----->
Visible, Tangible ImpactInstantly from the funds that you donate 3 very powerful things will be occuring
1) You are allowing us as a company to open its doors to the public by acquiring a building and starting to pay rent (hopeful open date March 4th, would love to open earlier)
2) This in turn allows us to begin to purchasing/supplying/selling merchandise and art for the actual store itself so that it can begin self sustaining
3) Lastly and most importantly this provides money to organizations who are bringing freedom and opportunity to men, women, and children across the world. Organizations include, but are not limited to:
So instantly from your donations men, women, and children all over the world will be getting freedom from sex slavery, hunger & malnutrition, poverty (through providing jobs), suicidal tendencies/depression, unfair working conditions, abuse, orphaned children, lack of education, and many many more
