Blue Rocks No Shave November is sponsored by Challenge 4 Charity (Berkeley Haas Chapter) as a fun way to raise money and awareness for our nonprofit partners - The Special Olympics and Alameda Point Collaborative.

Hi. We're the Blue Cohort.

And we're all about community.

At Haas, we're committed to being the most spirited, most involved, and most respected of the four first-year cohorts. Don't believe us? Ask the MBAA student government, where 7 of 13 newly-elected student leaders are Blue. Ask the crew of Blues who woke up early on a Saturday morning after post-finals partying to volunteer at a supportive housing community. Or ask our very own Jon Lim, who still has tan lines from the time he donned a bodypaint bikini for a Bears game.

We're proud to take risks, tackle challenges, and embarrass ourselves, especially when it's for the greater good.

That's why we're fired up for No Shave November.

For the next few weeks, we'll be raising money for Challenge for Charity (C4C), a non-profit organization that draws on the talents, energy, and resources of MBAs from nine West Coast business schools to support Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs, and family-related local charities, to develop business leaders with a lifelong commitment to community involvement and social responsibility.

And in support of this mission, each of us has pledged to grow out our hair.

We're giving back by raising funds and sacrificing our dignity for the next three weeks, culminating in an auction that will leave us patchy, bald, razor burned, or all of the above.

Each of us is offering something to the cause. Matt "Mountain Man" Melone will be growing out a thick, luscious beard. Peter "Chewbacca" Brock will be shaving his perfect pelt of a chest. And Brandon "Hairy and the Hendersons" Doll will be putting his armpits, legs, chest, beard, and pretty much anything else on the chopping block.

Support us and our commitment to the community by making a donation today!

THANK YOU!

Love,

Blue
