Update: I am sad and heartbroken to report that Blake lost his battle this morning, 1/12/13. The proceeds of this campaign will still go to Blake’s family to be used towards a scholarship in Blake's name. Thank you to all who have contibuted so far. RIP Blake, you fought a courageous battle.

Blake Cognata, 17, from Fairport, NY is battling a rare form of cancer. He was diagnosed Feb. 1 with Ewing’s sarcoma, a form of cancer that attacks the bones.

With just one treatment remaining on his original chemotherapy regimen, Cognata began to feel pain in his shoulder in October. Doctors found the disease had spread dramatically through his body.

I personally do not know Blake, but I do know his Mom and she is one of the sweetest, most loving people I have ever met. She does everything for her children and I would just like to help her and Blake in this difficult time in any way I can. 

All proceeds from this campaign will go to Blake and his family to help with medical expenses.
