Black Sunrise is the story of two people attempting to survive in a world embroiled in tyranny, war, and environmental degredation.
After making over seven animated short films over the span of twelve years, Black Sunrise will be my first feature-length film. This represents a massive undertaking of both time and energy. My hope is that with financing, I will be able to work full-time on this film instead of having to divide my energies between this film and taking on commercial work.
My last film, The Pig Farmer, was partly financed through IndieGoGo and was completed within ten months. It has subsequently been shown in the renowned Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation. My previous films have enjoyed wide exposure in film and animation festivals around the world as well as having a significant presence on the internet.
As well as financing the production of the film, part of the funds will go towards a book, documenting the making of Black Sunrise. Among other perks, those that help to finance the film will gain access to a private blog (http://black-sunrise.blogspot.com/) that has more behind-the-scenes work that won't be available on my regular production blog (http://pyatyletka.blogspot.com)
