OUR NEED:

We are in need of funds to get us through all phases of the filmmaking process including production and pre-production. Our budget was set for 30,000 but we decided to raise the money to address our needs for the first two phases. (With your help we can go over our requested amount) Some of your favorite shows like Greys Anatomy and Law and Order spend millions in production, so Between Women is starting small with plans to grow! Weve established a goal of $30,000 for our Indie GoGo campaign, but if we go over this amount (which we hope will happen), rest assured there are plenty of places to spend it. We hope you decide to help us complete this journey that is sure to be an inspiration and new favorite TV show in the near future!

ABOUT THE SHOW

Between Women is a 10 episode dramatic series to be released winter 2012. The women featured on the show are faced with lifes everyday issues. We hope the fact that some of them happen to be lesbians will educate and open up dialogue for people to see that regardless of sexuality the same issues exist across the board, even the ones we try to keep hidden. Between Women will take you on a journey through friendship, love, domestic violence, death, and also suicide. Not only does THIS series wll give you something to laugh about it, you will also be able to see yourself as you fall in love with each character and story line. The script has been written by award-winning producer/screenwriter Michelle Daniel, will be directed by award-winning director Christina Brown, and we will be hiring an amazing production team to bring this project to life. With so many talented people working on this, we cant go wrong!

DELIVERY

Every Sunday a new 30 minute episode will be released on the Between Women website which in the past has had over 2000 viewers per episode. Viewers are encouraged to post comments and talk to the Producer, Director, and Cast via Skype after every episode. Why Indie Go-Go?

 As we hope you can see from the teaser and previous shows, we can write a script, shoot quality work, and manage the post production process to make a series with a soundtrack and graphics all on a tight budget. If we can do all of that on a small budget, imagine what we could do with a big one!  But in order to take this series to the next level, we have so many needs such as equipment, props, sets, and a production crew to just name a few. 

While the show has gained a following from the public with our initial efforts, we have taken the time needed to increase the quality of talent and production. Part of that process includes purchasing equipment and hiring crew to come in and work with us on the cinematography, organization, and acting.  Additional funds will go towards editing, music, food, transportation, permits, location rentals, and marketing. 

We have such an incredible cast that you are going to love! Some of them are old favorites as well as our newest members who really bring these characters to life! It is amazing to work with actresses and actors who dedicate their time and energy to this product without a PENNY in return. They only put in the time, money, and effort because they believe in the show. We want this season of Between Women to help their careers and showcase their many talents to the masses.

The Between Women soundtrack features independent artists ranging from gospel to hip hop. Look-Alive, Katina, and Stacey Clark just to name a few have embraced this soundtrack with unforgettable songs to take you on a musical journey as well as a visual one.

FAQs

Now that the series is funded, when will it release?
Filming is set to begin on November, 11 2011 (If funding is met) and post-production will begin soon after filming is complete. The plan is to have the series release sometime in the winter of 2012. Rest assured all of us involved will make sure YOU know when its time to release!

How will I receive my thank you video?
Once we have reached our funding goalplease look out for your video. 

Can we exceed the goal?
YES! What an amazing problem to have. Indie Go-Go will allow as much money as we can raise before the deadline. Keep in mind the more money we raise the more we can do with the show, so the possibilities are endless.

Is Between Women a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization?
Unfortunately neither this movement nor Between Women is set up as a non-profit. Donations are raw gifts. Non-tax deductible.

If I donate, when can I redeem the incentive?
All incentives, big and small, will only happen if our goal is met. If we do meet our goal, immediately after our deadline we will start to manufacture and ship all physical merchandise directly to you. It will be our priority to schedule the more personal incentives as soon as possible. You will hear from us. (More on this as we get closer to our deadline)

Who does the money go to?
Every penny (minus the fees for Indie Go Go involvement) will go directly to the TV budget - i.e. Your money goes directly to the funding of this film.

$8,706  seems like a low number for a TV series budget. Doesnt it?
You are correct. Fortunately, there are still very important investors involved in this film. The $8, 706 figure is the remaining balance of a larger total budget. Our goal is imperative for the film to be a reality.
