Calling all soldiers and bELIevers of life...
Scans have returned and they were not great, but it doesn't give me a reason to give up hope. Told by my doctor that I may have cancer for the rest of my life, I refuse to believe her and let cancer win. A warrior and a fighter, this has just added fuel to my fire. Determined to overcome this battle, I have learned that this journey does not get easier, but you become stronger. I believe in life. I believe I have a future. I believe in hope.
While continuing my treatment as planned, I am daring to go beyond. Stepping up and taking back control, I am now seeking help and ready to ask for third and fourth opinions. Unfortunatley, due to the rarity of my cancer, there are very few specialists in this country (only five to be exact). This is where you come in... my soldiers and bELIevers. Not one to typically ask for extra help, and always one to acknowledge that I am blessed, I humbly come to you for help.
My family has been so supportive and by my side throughout this entire experience, but we can only afford so much. The specialists that I wish to meet are in Houston, Texas and New York. While my insurance has covered most of my treatments, they do not cover outside consultations. I humbly ask you, if you can, to donate and bELIeve. Donations will be used to cover airfare, traveling expenses, but most importantly the appointment fees. Any little help is extremely appreciated and I can't thank you enough in advance. Any extra funds after these consultations will be saved for either future medical expensives or once recovered and in remission (which I am claming I will be in one day) will be donated; 50% to Cancer Research and 50% to Dancers With Cancer.
I seriously cannot thank you all for the support you have given me from day one of this journey. I am beyond blessed and grateful to have you all in my life.
