WHO IS BADKID
BadKid Productions is an entertainment production company that seeks to develop and enterprise new work in the field of arts and entertainment. Through forms including but not limited to film, television and web-based media, BadKid Productions and its managers aim to cultivate cutting-edge artistic projects for production and release to the public on a grand scale.
That's our mission. In other words, we're a brand-spanking new production company doing exciting new comedy for the web. We want to make you giggle, laugh and pee your pants a little bit by bringing web series, sketches and an assortment of media straight from our brains to your viewing eyes. Let's be real...you'll love it.
The longest story told in the shortest way possible.
Zach, Max and Jason were in an awesome Off Broadway show together in 2010. They had an idea (good for them!) about a show ("Laid Off") and decided to make it a real boy and never grow up. Cue Lauren's entrance, who went to Michigan with Max (Go Blue). In addition to a clear need for estrogen, she had business smarts and boobs, making her the right woman for the job. In pursuit of more estrogen and a casting wizard, Zach brought his college pal Danielle onto the scene (Go U Northwestern). Check out her skillz on "Louis C.K." and "Bored to Death". To add to our power trip we decided to scour the streets in pursuit of a talented intern/laundress. Thanks to Sharif we are lucky enough to have clean-pressed underwear and a way talented addition to our team.
We are BadKid. The End.
THE BADKID PLATFORM
We are developing a couple of great shows that need your help! And by help, we mean money. We really can't handle any more incredible talent on our end ;) Also, Lauren has some dental work that she needs done...so any additional funds would be appreciated (Kidding. She's perfect.)...Our shows!
What happens when three best friends all lose their jobs on the same day? They do what they do best...sex, drugs and panic attacks. Follow Jason, Max and Zach through the up's, the downs and the hustle of starting their own male escort service in NYC. The economy may be in the tank and we might not know where our next dollar is coming from, but one thing's for sure...we're all screwed.
The Boys -- Zach Bandler, Max Spitulnik and Jason Edward Cook -- are joined by some killer amazing guest stars! Including...
- Shirley Jones - Academy Award winner "Elmer Gantry", "The Partridge Family", "The Music Man"
- Melody Thomas Scott - "The Young and the Restless"
- Marty Ingels - "I'm Dickens, He's Fenster"
- Janet Carroll - "Risky Business", "Forces of Nature"
...and that's just the beginning! We've got some more awesome guests up our sleeves, but we won't spoil the surprise. The "Laid Off" pilot is finishing up post production as we speak, episodes 2 and 3 are scheduled to shoot this coming January, and the rest of the season is planned.
A bromantic comedy that will win over the hearts and minds of everyone, and we mean everyone, who watches. The story of two pals discovering the magic and mystical world of New York, Bryan and Josh are best buddies, roommates and hosts of their very own children's television show: "Bryan and Josh". Off camera, they are the exact same...except surrounded by booze, sex and a dirty quirky city inhabited by an even stranger cast of characters.
Scheduled to start shooting in January. And please visit "Sunny D's" own indiegogo campaign for more from this talented duo!
Before the Mario Bros. there were the Heymann Bros. Jason and Miles Heymann tell it like it is and how it isn't in this brand new sketch comedy series on everything relevant (and irrelevant) going on in today's world.
Shooting continues in Los Angeles. That's in California.
*WHERE YOUR DOLLARS GOWe allocate to each of our projects depending on its budgetary needs for production. Some of our projects, like "Laid Off", are big shows. And those puppies require some serious dough to shoot on location in NYC (and Los Angeles sometimes)! Your money will go toward supplementing the equipment we don't already own, transportation of said equipment that's too big to get through an MTA turnstile/fit in Zach's basket on his bike, our amazing crew, and other costs that may arise during the curation of our projects. All in all, we want to ensure we've got the funds to give you the highest quality shows possible. And we're very excited about where we're going...
*Also, other wishlist items include but are not limited to: a glitter pony, circus elephants, and Barbara Walters.
